I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF
This potato works. Every. Fucking. Time.
Then bring me luck
the day after I posted this last time I was notified that I was selected for a really cool mentorship gig and got an unrelated glowing review at work
Hey Potato, cure my -ing cold so I can have a good time while away.
Here's the potato. Make what use of it you will. :)
grief will have you paralyzed with numbness and longing that you have never felt before. i am a ghost haunting my own home. i am right where you left me. i can’t move. i have dug my nails deep into a reality that maybe this is some nightmare i will wake up from. i refuse to let go. i can’t accept what is existing right now. where i am hurts. it hurts so fucking much and i hate it.
Go read this.
Arkansas is considering the strictest book ban in the country, which would forbid all outside books, magazine and newspapers from being sent
reading through my fem rage stage.
I read whole hardcover books with the sleeve on.
These days you can absolutely tell who skimmed the assigned history reading and who actually read it
Atlantic Royal Flycatcher (Onychorhynchus swainsoni), family Onychorhynchidae, order Passeriformes, endemic to southeastern Brazil
Formerly in the Tityridae, they are now placed in their own family. Before that, they were in the new world flycatcher family Tyrannidae. All 3 families are closely related.

In 2012 I painted the top image: Rise
In 2026 I am saddened to have to repaint this update: Fall
I started following Yuumei back in 2011-2012 when I was in high school. Her painting "Rise" was such a huge inspiration for me. Now, to see "Fall", I cannot help but feel that this is an important, tragic, and monumental moment in our history as Americans - as a world.
Thank you for painting "Fall", Yuumei. I think it's really important and powerful, even if it breaks my heart to see such an important painting I've loved for over a decade update in such a way.
White-throated dipper (Cinclus cinclus)
I was so taken aback by this photo initially like what do you mean there's birds that just do this???
Like yeah there's plenty of underwater birds. But they usually very clearly look like underwater birds!! And then here's this guy just Standing like you are so normal looking what are you doing down there?
Turns out they also have solid bones to help them sink and the way they move underwater looks so much like normal bird flying that it weirds me out:
So yeah huh guess I've learned about dippers now! Absolutely absurd, love them
