there was a part of kyle that regretted falling off the face of the earth for a bit, running away from his problems and deciding never to look back. yet, in this inner fury and the need to become immortal, he left will behind. something that cut like a knife late in the morning hours when he was alone, hunting for blood and trying to avoid will's brotherhood like it was a plague.
he felt like he had lied, of course he had. to the man he loved more than anything in this world, but there was a lingering hurt in his soul. it made him feel vile, disgusting in ways he couldn't explain.
the kiss deepened enough to where kyle didn't want to let go again, he kept his hands on will's body and his fingers dug into his skin.
the thought of them running away together was all kyle ever truly wanted. will had walked back into his life, not the way he thought would ever happen at first. will was there to hunt him, quite literally rid him off this planet and never look back. thank god he couldn't do it, their love still in tact and the most precious feeling in the world. "i won't." foreheads stayed pressed together tightly, kyle afraid to let him go again. his grip was tight onto the other man, a deep breath shuffling through his lips and between the two of them. "i'm going to keep you safe, we'll keep each other safe."
a quick nod came from his head, eye sight looking around for a brief moment. "good idea, if they catch us we're fucked. especially if they see you with me." another quick kiss, his eyes looking into will's. "follow me, there's another secret tunnel made for an escape route. just... trust me, please?" he took will's hand, squeezing it momentarily as he began to move through the lair. the only noise that could be heard was the sound of their footsteps.
