Bedtime: Sherlock and John
John settled in next to Sherlock. He put an arm over him, settled on his waist, but with his legs all drawn up like that it made a lot of space between them. It was a touch awkward. He knew from seeing him nap on the couch that this was Sherlock’s preferred sleep position though. He tried repositioning his arms and legs a bit, but it just didn’t fit right. Well, he was the one who knew what he was doing here… “This isn’t working, roll over.” He said, giving Sherlock a gentle nudge. It would be much simpler if he could cuddle up to him from behind. That way those long legs of his wouldn’t get in the way.
He watched as John tried to figure something out..they were just sleeping in the same bed. What could be wrong? Did he have second thoughts? Was he changing his mind, not feeling comfortable? It’s not like he hadn’t fallen asleep on him before.  “This isn’t working, roll over.” He frowned slightly but complied, re assuming the position with his back facing John.Â
Ahh… that was much better. John scooted close to Sherlock and wrapped an arm round him, snaking the other under the pillows. He rested his head on the pillow above Sherlock’s. He’d always preferred being the big spoon, so this worked out very well in his opinion. Close, comfortable, warm. “Better yea?” he asked sleepily.
"Mmm" he hummed, eyes already closed. So there was a point to this then. This was warm and comfortable. He hoped he wouldn't move about too much though...Sherlock had a tendency to either stay curled up, or spread himself about the sleeping area. Might end up waking up ontop of John. A small smile crept over his lips at the thought. That wouldn't exactly be a bad situation...
