In the artist’s words:

“My imagination has always been consumed by unorthodox spaces, inhabited by otherworldly, anthropomorphic beings. Over the years, these whimsical fantasies have given rise to a family of characters with their own individual personalities,” Cibic says. “For the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Milan , I imagined taking visitors into an epic myth like that of Ulysses, through the world of my dreams. In my vision, Ulysses stays awake during his journey by drinking coffee, so he can glimpse the Siren with his own eyes. Finally, when the sea and night sky become as dark as the drink in his hand, a mermaid leaps from the water and he witnesses a flash of light emanating from her tail.”
