City Council approves Downtown road repairs.
West Virginia University students rejoice!
The Morgantown city council has approved road repairs in the following areas in our down town campus.
Campus Drive to Beechurst Avenue
Forest Avenue to the end of Dallas Street.
Richwood Avenue to Charles Avenue to Richwood Avenue.
A ton of WVU students live in the areas of Forest and Richwood Avenue which will be a nice upgrade considering the roads are awful. The streets are old and narrow; crumbling more and more every day.
I have never lived on that side of Morgantown, but a lot of my friends do and it is hard on their vehicles.
Beechurst Avenue does not seem to be in the worst shape. But that is one of the busiest, if not the busiest road in Morgantown so it makes sense that they would fix the road due to usage.
Full term Morgantown residents are also benefiting from the road upgrades. Areas by Morgantown High School, and Patterson Drive are also receiving road upgrades.
People in Morgantown may not agree on social or political issues, but if there is something we can agree on. It would be that these road repairs need to come as soon as possible.
