Summer Unwinding
A few hours from now, I start my first day as a Senior High School student! And to reduce the nervousness that I am feeling right now, I decided to look back on all the things I did this summer.[Attaching some pictures I took. I also have them on my ig story highlight @/yuhkult]
This summer was quite eventful for me. My aunt, uncle and cousins visited the Philippines after two years. They only stayed here for three weeks but it felt like just one.
We had our [semi] annual family outing at Batangas. It was a really cute place. There were not a lot of people, plus every cottage had a pool near it! It also has a beach at the same time. [Weird fact: Im actually not a fan of beaches. I don't know when I acquired my fear of the ocean/beaches but yeah, I hate beaches]
Of course, what is a summer escapade without a hello-mr-sun pictures! The place is really great for taking pictures. I got a little dark because, yah gurl spent almost all her time by the pool area. [ig stories on my ig, @/yuhkult]
This was actually the only big event we went to. The following weeks were trips to the mall, and condo (airbnb). We (me and my other aunt) spent most of the time at their condo to play with our cousins. Since we were takinh care of the little kids, we used grab food most of the time and didn't even touch the stove even once.
When tita and tito went out (they always to to this nearby restroraunt for date night), they would always leave some cash for is to spend. Most of the money went on late night milkteas and mcdonald's!
This summer, I also got to experience ice skating -- while wearing shorts! It was a super impulsive decision, hence me wearing only shorts. Thank God I didn't fall on my knees. Kuddos to Mr. Polar Bear.
Then it was time to part ways with tita, tito and my cousins, I cant believe their stay with us was that short and I get to see them again in two years.
It was back to normal when we got home [Antipolo]. I got to read my book and watch my series again.
My summer was mostly filled with late night sleeps, netflix, and reading. As I was writing this down, I was thinking, 'Man what a boring summer.' yes, it was kinda boring but it was also pretty eventful at some point. I got to finish watching Gossip Girl, and I was totally obsessed. I remember not watching any othet series othet that GG because I couldn't move on! It was ~that~ good of a series. I also finally finished reading Five Feet Apart and The Sun is Also a Star.
During some days, I also got to meet up with some friends. I always had a different feeling when Im with them and it sucks that they're not my classmates anymore this school year.
This summer was really one for the books. I got to try and learn new things, and I hope next summer is as good as this one!
10pm as I am writing this post which means, two hours before June 17 aka my first day of school.
