Quinn: Lucky me too.

Sam: Will you be my date?

Quinn: I will happily be your date.

Sam: Britt has decided that we’re throwing a Glee party.

[hiho-cheerio]

Quinn: Well, there’s no arguing with Britt. Quinn: So a Glee party it is.

Sam: Not on this world of the multiverse, sadly.

[hiho-cheerio]

Quinn: Damn.  Never a superhero around when you need them. Quinn: What are we doing for New Years’?

Sam: Or fast forward to May when I’m done here.

Quinn: That’d work too. Quinn: You know superheroes, who can fast forward time?

[samueldwightevans]

Sam: I’m sure you’re kicking all kinds of ass. Sam: I just wish you could do that here.

Quinn: I wish I could. Quinn: Just need them to move Yale there.

[samueldwightevans]

Sam: Just ditch it all.  Sam: Come be with me here.

Quinn: God, don’t even tempt me. Quinn: I’m already tired of these textbooks.

Sam: And I love that about you.

Quinn: Sweet talker. Quinn: I can’t believe I need to be in this dorm room for another week and a half.

Sam: Because you’re the biggest gambler I know.

[hiho-cheerio]

Quinn: I am the world’s worst gambler. Quinn: I just like old songs. 😂

Sam: Oh you know it. Sam: I’m sure he’s got stuff on me too. But for now I win.

Quinn: All in how you play your cards. Quinn: Know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, like the old song says.

Sam: Oh don’t worry. Sam: I just reminded him that I know how he eventually wants to ask Kurt to marry him. Sam: So he’s not allowed to say stuff.

Quinn: Oh, look at you holding the trump card!

Sam: The next week and a half is going to feel like forever. Sam: Blaine says we’re disgustingly cute. Sam: Which like...I don’t think he has any ground to stand on here.

Quinn: It’s going to feel like at least a month. Quinn: Blaine said that?? Quinn: Yes, please remind him we watched him and Kurt moon over each other for ages and he’s got nothing to say here.

Sam: And I know I get to see you soon but it’s still tough.

[hiho-cheerio]

Quinn: Not nearly soon enough.

Sam: I'm back in Lima now. Sam: And I already miss you. Sam: I didn't want to leave.

Quinn: Saying goodbye to you freaking sucks. Quinn: I didn’t want you to go either.

“If it wasn’t for Glee Club, I wouldn’t have even graduated in Lima. Wouldn’t have ever moved back after my family and I moved away.” Sam mused, wondering where his life would have taken him if that had been the case. He wondered too, if he and Quinn would have somehow found some common ground given the cheerleader and football player thing they had going on, but given the fact that Glee partially facilitated the breakup between Quinn and Finn it was hard to say. He glanced out the window when Quinn said that their stop was next, following her lead and exiting the bus when it stopped. His hand found Quinn’s as they stepped onto the sidewalk. “I’m so hungry.”

“And I don’t like to imagine a world where that didn’t happen.  Not just for the sake of you and I, but for all of us.  For the friends you made, the victories, the defeats, everything that made Sam Evans who he is today.  Not to mention everything that made Quinn Fabray who she is.  And if we’d never become who we did, who’s to say where we’d have found ourselves?”  She might have carried on her lie with Finn, Sam may have been stuck in a relationship with a Santana who never had glee club to help her embrace her authentic self...it was a terrible version of reality, one she didn’t want to give much thought to.

As their hands found each other she smiled.  “Don’t you worry, it’s only a block to the diner and we’ll get you all the good New Haven food we can find.  I won’t let you faint from hunger, and if you did I’d carry you.”

“Glee club is a messy place to be. Has always been a messy place to be. But I like to think we all grew from it. Together and as our own individual people. I’d like think we’re all closer than we ever thought possible, even with all of you guys graduated and moved out of state.” He uttered softly, kissing the top of her head once again and just breathing her in. There was something calming about Quinn’s presence, there always had been, even when they weren’t together. She was a safe place, a confidant. His heart clenched at her words and her smiled at her, feeling so overcome with his feelings for her. “Home is you.”

Quinn smiled.  “I think you’re right.  Sometimes it’s hard to believe that we ever survived all that together, but I can’t think of any of us who’d trade it for a minute.  If we hadn’t started there, then I’d have been just another graduate who left Lima and never looked back.”  His lips, pressed against her head, slowed her breathing and calmed her down in the simplest of ways.  “I can’t wait to see what that looks like; the home we’ll find in each other.”  Taking a look out the bus window, she reached up to pull the cord requesting a stop.  “We’re up next.  Just a short walk to the diner from here.”

“I think Glee became much more than any of us ever thought that it would. And like…I’m really happy that it did. Because we’re like more of a family now than I ever imagined. Especially after the end of your senior year when everyone really came together and finally got over all of the drama that had followed us the rest of the time. Now it’s just…like love. But Glee becoming so much more also makes it even harder now that everyone’s all scattered. And it hurts to know that there’s never going to be a time when all of us live in the same place again.” Sam said before shaking his head. “But you and me…we’ll live in the same place again and it’s going to be amazing.” He tilted her chin up and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. “Wherever you are will be home. And I can’t wait for that day.”

“Sometimes I still think about how it all started.  Me and Santana and Britt just joining because Sue needed spies, and because I was worried about Rachel stealing my boyfriend.  Who was only my boyfriend because I was lying to him about him being the father of my baby.  All of those secrets and lies, and somehow when we sang together and became a real group we got through it all.”  She shook her head, frowning a little as Sam reminded her that they’d never really be that again.  “Yes we will - and yes it will,” Quinn promised, leaning up into the kiss for a moment.  “You’re going to be my home, Sam Evans.  Not the building, not the city, not the country.  My home address will be you.”
