Both were filled at the same time with the same water, only one had oysters.
Oysters really help filter our open waters. Sadly, their mortality rate is going up bc of ocean acidification which makes it harder for them to form their shells (see more about it here). Which means fewer oysters for eating and grosser waters in general. Again, this is already happening.
But let’s keep acting like climate change isn’t a thing. -sigh-
Medicine should never have been privatized in the first place. The concept of profiting off of human desperation and the need for life-saving medicine is, philosophically, intrinsically, and morally wrong both as a fundamental concept and in practice. The fact that Martin Shkreli was ever able to buy an AIDS drug and increase its price 5000% is indicative of a problem even bigger than a truly evil, despicable, and selfish human being; it is indicative of the problem of the current system of for-profit pharmaceuticals with obviously inadequate price regulation.

Thoughts on the spill last night, and Malcolm Turnbull being our new prime minister?
To be honest, I was hoping Abbott would get to run again. Don’t get me wrong, he is the worst PM in history but I thought that may mean The Greens or some more progressive party may get more ground because no one would support Tony… Malcolm is smarter and likely to play the card of appearing more progressive but once in power may just return to Libs “business as usual”. I kind of worried, I don’t see it as a win.
