What was the experience that impacted you the most in your life?

❝  oh  ,  boy  …  i  don’t  know  .  i’ve  had  a  lot  of  various  experiences  that  have  impacted  me  greatly  over  the  years  ,  but  meeting  all  of  my  closest  friends  are  probably  my  favorite  experiences  .  they’ve  all  taught  me  a  variety  of  things  —  about  myself  ,  relationships  ,  and  life  in  general  —  that  i  carry  with  me  even  today  .  hell  ,  they  still  teach  me  things  and  i’m  forever  grateful  for  their  existence  .  i’m  even  more  grateful  that  you  guys  continue  to  let  me  exist  beside  you  .  ❞

“fuck.” he winced, hissing through his teeth. it seemed yuki was covered in blood and bruises more often than not. this time, though, it had nothing to do with work. he had medics on hand for the underground, but nobody was stood close by to fix him up when he got into fights on the street. he had been on his way to jinae’s place anyway, when some assholes decided to vandalise his motorcycle. four against one didn’t seem like great odds of winning, but yuki was too blind with rage to care. of course, it ended up with him bleeding from his mouth and hands, from giving and receiving blows alike. when the others finally gave up and left him on the ground, he picked himself right back up and onto his bike. at this point, him showing up bloodied on jinae’s doorstep was barely a surprise for her. she had her fist aid kit at the ready and was currently dabbing at his wounds while he ate the pizza he had asked her to get for him. he took another bite of food, moping from his defeat. “be careful with me,” he said in the most fake childish voice. “i’m delicate”.

              she’s  no  stranger  to  violence  ,  to  picking  up  and  cleaning  the  mess  left  behind  in  its  wake  .  granted  ,  the  situations  were  different  ,  but  that  didn’t  matter  much  .  not  to  her  ,  anyway  .  when  she  hears  another  one  of  his  requests  ,  her  movements  cease  for  a  moment  as  she  makes  a  face  in  response  .  she’s  never  approved  of  physical  violence  ,  unless  no  other  choice  was  given  ,  so  she  doesn’t  hesitate  to  do  the  opposite  as  yuki  tells  her  .  she  takes  a  moment  to  add  a  little  more  disinfectant  to  the  cotton  pad  gripped  in  her  tweezers  before  roughly  placing  it  back  onto  the  wounds  on  his  face  ,  ❝  maybe  you  should  take  your  own  advice  ,  hm  ?  ❞  jinae  flashes  a  gentle  grin  ,  one  which  seems  to  heavily  contradict  her  actions  .  ❝  but  in  all  seriousness  ...  why  is  it  that  you’re  almost  always  coming  over  to  my  place  looking  to  be  patched  up  ?  don’t  you  think  you  deserve  a  little  better  than  that  ?  ❞  she  means  nothing  by  her  questions  ------  and  she  hopes  he  won’t  take  them  the  wrong  way  ------  the  woman  is  simply  curious  ;  and  she’d  be  lying  if  she  said  she  didn’t  believe  he  deserved  to  be  treated  better  .  whether  it  be  by  others  or  himself  ,  the  specifics  didn’t  matter  to  her  much  .

What got you into reiki and why did you decide to make a career out of it?

❝  oh  ,  i  love  this  question  .  i  got  into  it  during  my  travels  ,  specifically  when  i  was  in  japan  .  given  my  core  beliefs  already  ,  when  i  heard  about  it  from  a  roommate  of  mine  ,  it  piqued  my  curiosity  .  i  did  a  lot  of  research  ,  talked  with  a  lot  of  reiki  masters  and  slowly  began  my  own  journey  .  as  i  continued  to  travel  ,  i  also  continued  my  learning  and  gathered  what  skills  i  could  ,  incorporating  them  into  my  own  practice  as  time  went  on  .  unfortunately  ,  though  ,  i  wasn’t  quite  able  to  do  much  with  it  given  the  fact  that  i  was  almost  always  on  some  sort  of  bender  .  it  wasn’t  until  i  came  back  here  and  lost  my  grandmother  that  i  cleaned  up  and  began  to  take  everything  seriously  .  considering  it  is  what  it  is  ,  i  didn’t  think  i’d  be  able  to  make  a  proper  living  off  of  it  ,  so  i  decided  to  simply  offer  it  as  something  that  i  am  willing  to  do  should  someone  be  interested  .  a  lot  of  people  ,  primarily  those  who  believe  that  science  is  law  ,  don’t  really  believe  in  or  approve  of  reiki  —  same  with  the  catholics  —  because  it’s  considered  to  be  a  ❛ pseudoscience  ❜  .  i  ,  on  the  other  hand  ,  believe  that  the  mind  is  a  powerful  thing  ,  as  is  energy  .  and  ,  if  you’re  open  ,  anything  is  possible  .  ❞

what are some goals you have ?

❝  i  don’t  have  many  ?  i  mean  ,  i  think  i’d  like  to  eventually  become  a  mom  ,  become  more  successful  in  my  own  field  and  help  /  heal  more  people  as  time  progresses  ,  but  the  majority  of  the  ❛  goals  ❜  i  can  think  of  are  primarily  just  me  watching  and  supporting  people  i  love  as  they  reach  their  own  goals  .  ❞

When was the last time you felt truly, unconditionally loved?

What's your biggest pet peeve?

❝  um  …  off  the  top  of  my  head  ,  i’ll  have  to  say  either  when  people  continuously  bash  the  things  that  someone  else  likes  —  like  when  they’re  all  excited  as  they  share  them  ,  but  the  other  person  has  nothing  but  negative  things  to  say  —  or  when  strangers  have  no  respect  for  personal  space  ,  especially  after  they’ve  been  asked  to  back  up  .  those  are  things  that  probably  piss  me  off  the  most  and  they  don’t  even  have  to  be  happening  to  me  personally  ;  i  can  just  witness  them  and  i’ll  immediately  see  red  .  i  mean  ,  really  …  why  be  an  asshole  ?  it’s  unnecessary  .  ❞

BUT if i ever /did/ make a movie, i’d probably end up doing something like the blair witch project bc i think the paranormal / occult stuff is much scarier, especially when done right. what's one secret you would never tell anyone?

❝  if  it’s  a  secret  i’d  never  tell  anyone  ,  why  would  i  tell  you  ?  that  makes  no  sense  to  me  ——  either  way  ,  i  do  have  secrets  i  wouldn’t  tell  the  whole  world  ,  sure  ,  but  they’re  not  secrets  i  wouldn’t  share  with  my  closest  friends  .  which  means  that  i  don’t  think  i  really  have  any  ?  i  can  ,  however  ,  say  that  the  majority  of  my  secrets  aren’t  really  secrets  at  all  .  they’re  just  ways  i  feel  regarding  a  certain  situation  and  /  or  person(s)  .  that  situation  primarily  being  my  childhood  and  person(s)  being  my  birth  parents  .  i  hope  that  suffices  .  ❞
