I donāt think that I have that many nanago headcanons yet, because I'm still fairly new to this ship and to the jjk fandom but I still have a few ideas!
Okay so first of all, Iām a big believer in whipped Gojo and casual Nanami. Donāt get me wrong, they love each other equally! But I love to think that Gojo is much more demonstrative with his affection, but also that he gets flustered much more easily. Nanami is whipped for Gojo too of course, but he is better at keeping his emotions in check and so he is more casual/normal about it. My favourite dynamic for them is Gojo SHAMELESSLY flirting with Nanami every single day, but as soon as Nanami flirts back even just a little, Gojo loses his mind and shuts down completely.Ā
With that same dynamic in mind, I have some semi angsty headcanons as well. For instance, I like to think that Gojo is actually the moreĀ āinsecureā one in the relationship and that he always thinks that Nanami is going to leave him eventually. It leads to some fights sometimes, because Nanami is mostly good at reassuring Gojo, but it can also be a little frustrating sometimes because it can feel like Gojo doesnāt trust Nanami with his love.Ā
My idea behind this is that although Gojo is all flirt and jokes and chaos, he is also deeply traumatised not only by his past but also just by how powerful he is. He feels barely human at times, and he is constantly reminded by everyone around him about how powerful he is, to an almost god-like level if I understand the story correctly. So because of that, I assume that it can be hard for him to properly connect with other people, especially to be vulnerable around other people. I mean, he literally has a shield around him at all times. And this is why Nanago is so appealing to me because so far I genuinely feel like Nanami is THE ONLY PERSON who either sees beyond the shield and the flirty chaotic act or he is just the only person who doesnāt even care about that shield and casually parcours over it. He is one of the only people who treat Gojo like ... well, like another person. I talked about this in a previous Nanago post:Ā
LIKE thereās something about how Gojo is so powerful that he feels barely human at times and detached from humanity because everyone knows him as this godlike sorcerer, and then he meets Nanami who refuses to see him as such and constantly talks to him like a regular person. Thereās SOMETHING about how Nanami doesnāt treat Gojo cautiously (or even respectfully) but just straight up calls him out on his bullshit when no one else really does, thereās something about Nanami basically telling Gojo "youāre just as human as the rest of us and youāre a mess and I still love you."Ā
This is why I like this dynamic. I like Gojo being an awkward mess who is genuinely unequipped for healthy normal relationships, and Nanami being the only mature and emotionally well-adjusted adult in the story, and the two of them coming together. I love Nanami telling GojoĀ āyouāre a mess, but youāre a mess that I'm willing to deal with because I love youā, I love Nanami being this one normal constant in Gojoās life that can keep him grounded and that reminds him that just being a regular person is enough.
Okay wait, Iām sorry, Iām not even giving you headcanons anymore, Iām just writing an essay about how much I love Nanago XD Honestly I just a lot of little headcanons for these two like:Ā
Nanami often pushing Gojoās bangs away from his face to see him more clearly and Gojo always blushing really really really hard when he does it.
I literally just talked about this, but like, Gojo flirts very crudely with Nanami for decades and one day Nanami flirts back ONCE and Gojo blushes and passes out.
I like to imagine that they were mostly awkwardly yearning for each other back in high school like maybe they kissed (1) time and it was a mess. They only got together as adults and Gojo always likes to remind Nanami of that (1) time they kissed back then. Actually, Gojo likes to pretend that they were high school sweethearts and Nanami is always likeĀ āWE LITERALLY KISSED ONCE AND THEN WE BOTH RAN AWAY AND NEVER TALKED ABOUT IT AGAINā
Gojo has a praise kink, but only if itās Nanami, okay? He is used to everyone complimenting him and commenting on how powerful he is, but Nanami is always keeping him in check and reminding him that he is an idiot. So whenever Nanami is in a soft mood and tells himĀ āyou look very cute this morningā, Gojo is GONE.
I feel like Iām just repeating the three same headcanons in different fonts at this point, but listen ... Gojo blushes a lot when they kiss of when theyāre intimate, and Nanami thinks that itās very cute and he likes to tease him.Ā āAwww, the great Gojo is blushing for me?ā
Okay a little more angsty I guess but LISTEN! I like to imagine that Gojo and Nanami started their relationship through casual sex/sex friends king of thing. Gojo is the one who proposes it. He is already madly in love with Nanami of course, but he is an idiot who thinks that he can avoid Emotions And Vulnerabilityā¢ļø like this. Nanami is also in love with Gojo, but since Gojo only ever comes to him for casual sex, he thinks that his feelings arenāt mutual. Eventually, they get their shit together, but itās a whole ass slow-burn. Like, maybe Gojo accidentally saysĀ āI love youā one time in the heat of the moment and desperately tries to take it back or to play it off as a joke but Nanami is not having it!!!
Once they get together though ... PDA kings ... everyone hates them because they are too lovey-dovey and disgusting. Well, honestly, itās mostly Gojo always reaching out and cuddling his boyfriend, but Nanami is NOT protesting or pushing him away, which is huge!!! Itās Nanami love language forĀ āI love you tooā

Okay but Gojo is the clingiest in public BUT Nanami can be very clingy behind closed doors! Once theyāre back at home he will pin Gojo against the wall like "so we haven't kissed for 17 minutes and 34 seconds, what's up with that?" we all know that Nanami is very punctual after all.
Okay, last one because the post is already way too long but like ... Nanago is 100% that couple where separately they are both very dangerous and competent, but once you put them together they lose all of their brain cells. YES, I know that it looks like Nanami is always the one with the brain cells, but thatās what he wants you to think. He can be a mess too. Like, they will start kissing while cooking dinner and they forget about the food and the kitchen almost burns.
Okay wait, I need to share this. When it comes to sexy times, my favourite dynamic for them is this one:
