Solar-punk foxes
A while back, I saw an article about foxes that thrive among solar panels. It was late, I was tired, and my brain condensed the title to “solar foxes.” So here’s a quick sketch of some solar-punk foxes

Most people use these blank spaces in the Research Project Journal to make collages, stick stickers, etc., but I decided that this would be my place for one small, quick sketch a day. Here is a small overview of my favourite doodles from January

This is something I painted back in March, but somehow never published. So now, in the cold and snow, let it serve as a reminder that spring will come.
I was looking through my scans and was surprised to discover that I had scanned a small otter I painted in spring on shikishi for a friend; it would be nice to publish it before the anniversary of when it was painted!

I once read that if you fall into the water at night, you may not know which way is up and which way is down, and thinking that you are swimming toward the surface, you may actually be sinking deeper and deeper.

If you've ever thought about experimenting with a combination of poor-quality linoleum (which wasn't supposed to be poor quality, but crumbled terribly; I've never dealt with anything like it), a great chisel, great paper, and poor-quality paint (another surprise; I couldn't get the right consistency no matter what I did), you don't have to anymore: it will be a linocut in a cool color, where you will lose most of the details. Still, I like it in some ways, which is why I'm showing it to you—but I will definitely come back to this idea in the future.

One of my favourite webcomics, Phantomarine, celebrates its 10th birthday today. If you're in the mood for a cool, cleverly written comic that's also beautifully drawn, give it a shot!

Fanart time - this time it's a piece inspired by "Superbloom" by @silentplanetband. My friend had a gift basket for them and this drawing ended up there too. In printed form, because customs were in no hurry and my package waited with them for almost a week before it was finally delivered.
I wanted to paint something about transformation, to show something that at first glance seems familiar but is actually already starting to change its proportions and shape, and to weave into all this the phenomenon of the superbloom and the mysterious forest from the cover.
If you are not yet familiar with Silent Planet, I recommend "Superbloom" for a good start!
