How To Bright Your Work
Everything that we see in this world or images that we think have three-dimensional. When we draw images, we degrade three-dimensional to one dimensional. So we add shades and brightness for our works gain depth. It is the same thing that highlighter and contour did in makeup. These are the optical illusions that we can make use of it. If we consider on the object, the part that takes the light much more, is drawn lighter and the part that takes less light, is drawn darker. Therefore, you use light tones on the bulge parts and darker tones on the hollow parts. Moreover, we can add some glam at the end and take a very bright bulge. For the brightness in watercolor works, the gel pens, tippexes and gel tinsel are used. The usage of these are very easy but you should know where you apply it. This is something like when you draw or paint a glass, you ought to consider where the light comes and how you narrate to the paper. In my opinion it is such a hard thing. When you go to an art course, first all you learn how the object starts to appear with respect to the light over itself. I don’t use them in my works since I’m not enough for it. I don’t want to make mistake and ruin my work while I’m trying to brighten it. It is clear to me that these things for people that are more professional than me. Gel pens and tippexes have similar inks and same working principle. They both cover the paper and painting’s surface with their white ink so the part that is covered with ink looks more realistic. In this case the gel pens and tippexes’ closure is very important and it shows us how are these pens’ quality. The paint shouldn’t show up under the ink. As far as I can see Sakura Gel Pens are usually used by vLogger and artist also suggested. But If we contrast gel pens and tippexes, tippexes is clearly the winner because of the their amount. You can order a quadruplet tippex packet with a gel pen’s amount from Ali Express but it takes a while to come. You’ve probably used gel tinsel in middle school for handiwork. It works a little bit different from the others. It doesn’t totally cover the surface, just to left behind some glam after the gel dried. You can use it in any work that you want. I didn't use it not much for watercolor paints as I don’t like so much glam or tinsel in my paintings. I love much more simple things that aren’t eyesore. It reminds you the nature and the nature is the best art that I have ever seen.

8 Watercolor Tips
As a beginner I was watching a lot of videos about art and watercolor so I learned so much things from there and I want to talk about 8 tips that I usually use and like. When you use pen in watercolor painting you should pay attention your pen is waterproof because the pen’s ink can be ruin your painting. As I said previously the watercolor is done with water so if your pen isn’t waterproof, the ink will be spread from the line. You can use Kuretake or Faber Castell Multimark not Pitt Artist Pen because I bought it once for its waterproof but unfortunately it isn’t work. The ink spread with a purple color. If you buy a watercolor paper that is less than 240 grams or if your paper is wrinkling too early, you can minimize it with sugar. You should add three spoons of sugar to your clean water container, in this way the mixture will strengthen your paper. I was using this mixture when I had 180 grams paper and it helped a lot. You can use several material such as salt or stretch films to create different effects. Stretch films enable you to make a marble effect. When you made a painting with marble effect, you should be patient because you need to apply the stretch film on the wet paper that was painted and you should wait until the paint dries. You ought to be patient for the paint to dry. If you don’t, the colors may mix together and ruin the painting. Also, you will paint more than one layer in the painting because the watercolor is more transparent than the oil paints so it take a while to wait the paint dry. However, the watercolor is the fastest drying paint. It is hard to find a place that you will put your brushes while you are painting. The brushes have paint in it so you can’t put the brushes on the table it is going to be a mess but you can make your own brush holder with some clay like an ashtray. Before I get Talents Van Gogh Tablet, I was using Pelikan F355 Watercolor that have a transparent palette. When you put the watercolor somewhere you should also put a paper that you are working with, under the palette just because it is necessary you to see how the paint seem on the paper. You should take a piece of paper that is the same with your watercolor paper. Before you apply the paint you can try it on this paper and make sure that is the right tone. In this way you don’t regret our selection. Furthermore, you can compose your own color scale card that consist of the main colors. Use two cups of water. First is for cleaning the brush and second is for take clean water for dilute the paint and avoid to mix the paints. If you work with one dirty water, as time goes on the paint’s color will change. It is very important and necessary to use two cup as you can see.

Watercolor Paint
There are many kinds of watercolor such as tube watercolors, pencil watercolors, palette watercolors and paper watercolors. All the kinds are based on water but their pigmentation and their price vary. When you will buy one you should consider their function and what you actually need. For example if you want a travel kit that you will use in bus or somewhere. You should choose a tiny and simple watercolor like palette watercolor. All you need will be in the watercolor box. You won’t need to take separately the other things like brush, towel and your test paper. You can design your watercolor box before the travel and take an Pantel Aquash Water Brush for making paintings while you are traveling without bringing two cups of water. However, it isn’t valid in paper watercolor because you ought to be careful taking color without ruin you dress or the paper. It will get hard to hold the paper and paper watercolor at the same time. Tube watercolors and palette watercolors are nearly the same. Although you pay an extra price for the tubes, you actually get more paint than palettes. The difference in tube watercolor is you can keep the remaining paint like oil paint. The process is also same; You squeeze the paint that you need, onto your palette and dilute it. Tube watercolor is a little tempered but if it waits, it becomes hard like palette watercolor and it can be still used but oil paint it can’t be used. Furthermore, there are watercolor pencils that is completely different. You apply the paint like crayola and after all you wet the paper. Many art company produce it but all of them have not enough pigmentation if we compare it with tube watercolor. About five years ago there wasn’t any paper watercolor. In my opinion, if we hadn’t invented it, we wouldn’t have lost anything. The idea is good but unpractical. Although between the papers there are oil paper, The wet paint can be bleed and ruin your table. It isn’t design for traveling or outdoor. The paint have enough pigmentation but hasn’t a good colour scale. I mean even though there are too many orange color, there aren’t a dark green or a good pink. The colors a little bit opaque but sweet. If you are a beginner and you are going to buy a more professional watercolor for the first time in my opinion you shouldn’t buy a paper watercolor. It is expensive than the other kinds so you can start with palette watercolor and spend less money. I have Talents Van Gogh Watercolor 12+3 and as it is seen it is a palette watercolor. Its pigmentation is very good and the colour scale is enough to get good mixture. It has a portable synthetic fiber brush and a palette. The watercolor isn’t too expensive although it comes with 10 watercolor paper that are 300 grams. I love my equipments. Before I get Van Gogh Watercolor, I have been using Pelican F355 watercolor and normal Faber Castell watercolor. If I compare two, Pelican have better pigmentation and good colors. Faber Castell is a trash I think. Its paint like such a stone that doesn’t soften with water. I don’t like it at all but I definitely recommend Pelican F355, you can get ready your hand with it before the professional equipments.

Watercolor Paper
Why is the watercolor paper have an important role in your watercolor works? Watercolor isn’t an oil paint like pastel or crayon. Most of the watercolor consist of water so it is absorbed easily by the paper different from the oil based paints. the oil based paint covers the canvas’ surface and don’t be absorbed. The canvas has a rough layer when the oil paint dries so you can use stripping techniques on it. However, it doesn’t work like the same in watercolors. When the watercolor is applied, the paper absorb it and the watercolor is going to be a part of the paper without any rough surface or layers. Actually we hide our paint into the paper so we need to choose the right paper which will be durable to much more water and don’t thaw. There are two things that are paid attention when we buy a watercolor paper. Weight and how it was pressed. Moreover, we can add the third one in this case. The paper’s materials such as cotton and cellulose. These materials can provide to take more water in to the paper without less damage to it when we considered with the normal copy paper. The watercolor papers which have cotton in it are expensive and more professional than the cellulose ones. But as a beginner cellulose one can also handle the situation very well. A paper’s weight starts with 60 grams to 300 grams and for watercolor is between 180 to 300 grams. You shouldn’t use one that is under 180 grams because these aren’t made for watercolor so it doesn’t sate you as in the amount 180 grams and between 300 grams. Since above 180 grams the price is getting expensive. When you buy 240 grams, you expect a good quality like the 300 grams gives. But it isn’t worth. It creases like a normal paper and you hated to paint and buy it. So in my opinion you should add some money to 240 grams’ cost and take a better one. The last qualification is how it was pressed. There is two press type is called hot and cold press. They are named according to which temperature they are pressed. Hot press has and a smooth surface that is used in detailed scene works like doesn’t want a rough surface to ruin the little line and details. Cold press has rough surface as I said. It is used in large scenes without details or any work that we want to add more characteristic feature. In this case our natural detail is the paper’s surface. The large areas like lake or forest in the work is detailed with cold pressed. I think when the watercolor and cold press merge, they make the work better. About this time I am using cold press and I think it is my favourite. But you can try both of two and choose your side.
