A few fun facts about Gymir, the main antagonist of Chapter 4~
- her colour scheme and scalding heat powers are inspired by the Yellowstone hot springs!
- she is very vain, she gets so distracted by Abigail insulting her appearance that she doesn't even think to begin healing herself.
- she stands around 13 feet tall and instantly boils/scalds anything she touches.

Hello Hilda Fandom! The Hilda Fandom Network has decided to celebrate the Hilda Series 3rd birthday! This September 21st will be the show’s third year since release. To commemorate the occasion we are running an art contest!
From this September 21st to October 21st you can submit fanfiction, fan art, or fan works to the judges. Do this by tagging us with hildabirthday2021 (or by atting @hfnmain!
Here’s the rules:
-No NSFW of any kind
-Any art form is allowed
-No stealing (Claiming someone else’s work as your own, plagiarism, etc.)

The entires will be judged by a panel of HFN judges and sorted into two categories based on medium. There will be prizes created by members of the HFN for the winners of the contest. (So far we have two prizes but that number is subject to growth.) Keep in mind there’s no required theme for what you enter, you could show us what Hilda means to you or even create an AU! The content is entirely up to you as long as it’s within the guidelines.
Or, if you don’t want to enter but still make content for the event, just specify that in your post and also put it under the event tag, hildabirthday2021.

Abba is really nice, my favorites are “lay all your love on me, Dancing Queen, and money money money.”
Mitski! A lot of her songs SLAP, but “Washing Machine Heart” gave me a sorta Halloween vibe “I bet on losing dogs” was sad, yet comforting… it helps me fall asleep.. and you can’t tell me you didn’t sing along to “strawberry blonde.”
Cavetown! “Devil town” ABSOLUTELY SLAPPED, the fast tempo and the overall tone that reminds me of Halloween too, while also walking down a street while everything around is frosted (not snowed, but frosted. Like a late autumn day.) “boys will be bugs” is a good beat to listen to when you want to draw, and “lemon boy” is a good song to just vibe with and just chill. Also “Meteor Shower” is one of my absolute FAVORITES, it’s so pretty!
Jack Stauber! His music in general is odd but in the good creative kind and a very nice beat to listen to in the background, especially “Oh Klahoma.”

Volume I by AViVA is like, the absolute owner of my heart. It might only lose to volume II, but I can’t put it here because even though we have some of the songs the album itself hasn’t really been released yet. Absolute queen

Death of an Optimist by Grandson
i am BEGGING you to listen to grandson, literally every song is amazing!! They are so under recognised. I listen to this album almost everyday since its one of two i have downloaded.

This also doubled as perspective/architectural practice lol (and for that matter a version of the background in panels 2, 3, and 4 is under the cut because I’m quite proud of it)
