There are two type of people today
And I am both of them
It's October 3rd.
hmm reqs..if you have a favorite jophie headcanon you could draw something for it, cant go wrong there
lesbians are real ! ! no way
jenniferās body (2009)
This movie gets funnier every year that I get older
where is my halloween themed episode?
The Showstoppers
some really long jophie headcannons for the soul bc my brain's going 300mph after that twf4 teaser lol
- the romantic aspect of their relationship is completely nonverbal. i like to think that jenny's shit at conveying affection through words and sophie isn't a talkative person to begin with. neither of them need words to show just how much they mean to each other
- jenny talks a lot about her life; she usually rambles about her life before brighton and random memories without even realizing it. she usually apologizes for it though, and sophie has to reassure her that she loves her excitement over mundane things
(though it does makes sophie a bit left out - she wonders a lot on how she would've turned out if she remembered her family or what her childhood was like. would she be happier, missing people that will never be in her life anymore? she doesn't know. perhaps she never will.)
- sophie rarely smiles - she never smiles at all, in fact. jenny quickly got used to it, bc a closer look into sophie's mannerisms and a lot becomes obvious: how the tapping of her fingers give away nervousness or excitement, how her eyes light up when a colleague mentions the new slasher movie, the way she stares at jenny with fondness during random parts of the day. it's the little things that jenny loves about her, y'know?
- jenny's love language is acts of service, and sophie's love language is quality time
- they met somewhere in 1980 but only started dating in early 1982 (not even a year into the relationship and jenny's willing to sacrifice logic and her safety for sophie's me thinks)
- speaking of which - LGBT relationships weren't openly accepted until the 21st century, which meant that they HAD to hide the fact that they're dating. at least, sophie insists they keep it a secret, though jenny's ready for the backlash if it meant getting to hold her girlfriend's hips while walking down the street
- it's not only the relationship sophie insists on hiding - she hides almost everything about herself, good traits and bad (instinctively or not, jenny has yet to know). it took a lot of patience and determination for her to even open up about her pills and missing memories, but surprisingly, jenny doesn't turn her back. she's there through thick and thin. no matter how many times sophie pushes her away.
(soon, jenny prays, sophie wouldn't feel the need to hide from the world. because that's all she wants, she just wants to see her smile. if that means putting her family's soul at rest, so be it.)
the walten files: an analog horror series about animatronics killing people, people going missing, a girl who is on meds and canāt remember her own family, and an alcoholic who killed his best friends kids and most likely started all this nonsense.
the fandom: felix kranken. felix KRANKEN DEEZ NUTS
me, behind the wheel of a car: wow this is just like the walten files
For some reason I have this headcanon where jenny has a tooth gap and she literally hates it but whenever jenny smiles, sophie just bursts with happiness
tooth gap jenny is cute...

This month Iāve decided to participate in an event called āOctober,ā where for every day in October Iām going to experience a day in October.
Hereās the prompt list Iām using in case anyone wants to join me in this challenge:
Next month Iām thinking of trying out the āNo November Novemberā challenge, where Iāll refrain from experiencing November for the whole month of November.
Important reminders as this post is picking up speed again:
1) You laughed because it was a joke, itās not mysterious.
2) I donāt care if your birthday is in November
3) The October challenge is fundamentally incompatible with other x-tober challenges. You canāt do this one if youāre doing a different one, too. You have to channel your energy into really experiencing the monthliness of October, and other challenges would be too distracting.
4) No November November is not about going into a coma or otherwise skipping the month of November. Itās about not experiencing the existential CONCEPT of November. November is happening around you, but you are above it, and you want no part of it. November has no power over you.
5) The December challenge is just seasonal depression.
Hope this helps!
Friendly October reminder not to put Spock or other Jewish characters in costumes with horns
to clarify: it is an antisemitic idea that Jews have horns (dating to a mistranslation of karan (shone) v keren (horns) ) which was perpetuated in art by the likes of Michelangelo. this is not a thing of the pastāsome gentiles still believe that jewish people have horns, and putting jewish characters in costumes/aus with horns is insensitive at best and also really fuckin gross
also do not depict Jewish characters as demons there is a very long history of Jews being seen as demons and that being used to kill usĀ
please do not dress Jewish characters in costumes that are priest outfit or nun outfit or with crossesĀ
Just to give y'all an idea of how modern the horn issue is: My dad, when he went to college in the early 1980ās, was asked by someone who had never met a Jew before where his horns were. In the 1980ās. My dad was asked where his horns were. This was only 30 years ago. I have been lucky not to deal with that particular stereotype in my lifetime, but that was less than a decade before I was born. And I know other Jews in areas where Jews are scarce have dealt with this much more recently than the 80ās.
Yup. When my mom went to college, her freshman year roommate woke up the first Sunday and started getting dressed for church. My mom was still in bed, so the roommate came over and woke her up.
Roommate: Did you want to come to church with me, or do you have your own church youāre going to?
Mom: Well, I donāt really go to religious services, but if I did I would go to a synagogue, not a church, because Iām Jewish.
(Long silence. My mom opens one eye to see her roommate staring in shock.)
Roommate: You ⦠you donāt look Jewish.
Mom: (Who looks VERY Jewish) What do you mean?
Roommate: Well, my pastor always told me that Jews have horns and a tail.
Long story short: they didnāt end up getting along very well.
@optometrictzedek and @theforestsoulbird, itās more recent than that.
Iāve been asked about my horns as recently as 1997.Ā In a public school in New Jersey.
It would b cool of my non-Jewish followers to reblog this!!! Spread this bc itās scary and real and you should know!

You shouldnāt be treating nb people like the secret sexy 3rd gender. Nb people donāt look like a mash of male and female, theyāre not sexy androgynous twinks
white skinny androgynous nb people reblogging this and saying shit likeĀ āWell this is what I look like! So I feel represented!ā Are literally part of the problem. Iām not saying that no nb people are white/skinny/andro, Iām saying that those are the only type of nb bodies that get representedĀ
its nice, isnt it, when nonbinary people are visibly distinct from binary people? its easy, isnt it? you can remember to useĀ ātheyā for people who have no visible breasts or beards, right? no need to challenge the notion of male vs female if nonbinary people have their own look, isnt that right?
its time to step the fuck up and really understand that nonbinary looks like anybody. nonbinary looks like you.Ā nonbinary looks like your family and friends and it looks like the strangers who you thoughtlessly callĀ āheā orĀ āsheā because of their appearance.
really supporting nonbinary people means understanding that theres no visual tell - you wont recognise all of us as nonbinary on sight. you have to actually LISTEN to us. you have to BELIEVE us. and it means challenging your assumptions about gender, starting with the assumption that youre an ally to trans people while youre still doing puerile shit like gendering body parts and clothes.
NONBINARY LOOKS LIKE ANYBODY. ANY BODY CAN BE NONBINARY.
