I'll just be slowly turning into a pile of snow over here don't mind me
Beautiful day out with beautiful friends <3 I recently got the headdress of the AatP Sleepy Sheep & Dream Eater Baku series (I'm so in love with this print but sadly the jsk doesn't fit me orz), and I realised that it matches almost perfectly with AP's Charlotte's Bear, I'm so happy! Isn't that nightcap style just the cutest?
all handmade by me <3
ok I never thought this would get so many notes?!?! and all these wonderful replies and compliments in the tags?!?! u guys I'm crying thank you so much 😭😭😭
anyways I see so many diy people here and some were asking/wondering like @textile-hospital about the heart inlays, I didn't document the process properly but here are some screenshots from my ig stories:
so I ironed backing inlay (idk the correct word in english?) on some spare gingham fabric, drew the heart shape on the left side and cut them out with enough allowance, pinned them right side on right side on the skirt part and sewed the heart shape. Next I cut out the inner part of the heart, made small incisions in the remaining allowance and turned the piece over for a nice inner edge. Then I used the solid colored fabric to make the scalloped edge of the hemline, basically using the same process, and by turing it over I got to use it also as a backing for the heart "window" (idk if that makes any sense? kinda hard to explain). finally, I sewed along the edge of the heart cutout to secure it onto the plain fabric. the lace trim is sewed on the skirt lining, long enough to peak out under it
all handmade by me <3
