Please, Help Me Afford Mental Care/Life

Hi!

A few months ago, I was let go from a job after I disclosed that I was autistic under duress. The symptoms of my anxiety as a result of being autistic have just resulted in me losing another job.

I’m 23, without much choice BUT to be financially dependent upon myself. I was proud of the fact that I got to the point where I was able to pay my rent a month in advance. I was hoping my income from the shifts I was scheduled for would cover the gas and food I needed for a while and I would be able to save, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to work them because I was dismissed.

My rent is covered until November, but my utilities and basic food costs, etc are unaccounted for. Currently, I have less than 20$ to my name.

I am looking for other work, HOWEVER the trend of me being let go from places due to symptoms of my diagnosis leads me to believe I might not fit in a traditional work environment. For that reason, I am pursuing disability, which will take time to be set up. For this to happen, I need an updated evaluation and diagnosis, so I’m currently at a mental health clinic trying to get that done.

I have asked for money countless times over the past couple years, and I am always slightly ashamed to do so. I hope that this will be the last time I need to. Please, even a couple dollars will help me get by until I figure something out. You can donate at [email protected].
