“Iruka-Ojii-San! Iruka-Ojii-San! You gotta come see the flowers that me and Kaa-san planted a while ago! They’re getting so big and pretty and it is so amazing! I love flowers! They’re great! Do you like flowers Ojii-san? Flowers make everyone hap-” She was cut off when she was suddenly poked on the nose by the older male. She blinked a few times and then giggled. “What’d you do that for? Was I talking too much or something? I mean I hope I wasn’t! I was just super excited about the flowers..”

Himawari had been listening to the older woman talk, though she frowned just a bit when she suddenly stopped talking. Himawari looked up at Kurenai-Sensei and blinked a few times. “Is something wrong?” As soon as she asked this question she was suddenly poked on the nose by the older woman. She tilted her head to the side for a moment and then let out a giggle. “Eh? What was that for?” She asked, a happy grin making its way onto her lips.

Himawari stared at the male. He looked a lot like Kakashi-Ojii-san, though he was younger. How interesting! Himawari smiled brightly and shuffled over to the male. “Hello! I’m Himawari! What’s your name?”

Small footsteps, and a small voice would be what tugged the Hatake boy out of focus. He could have with ease ignored being addressed by the girl–some kid he didn’t know, so it didn’t matter to him–but, he found himself ackowledging her–a small turn to face her, and a small dip of his head in a bow. She wasn’t interrupting anything anyways, it wasn’t like she was getting in the way of him, “….Hatake, Kakashi. You’re young to be out on your own, aren’t you?”

Himawari’s smile brightened even more when the male acknowledged her, though her eyes went wide when he revealed his name to her. Hatake Kakashi? No way! There was no way that this boy was Hatake Kakashi! He was way too young to be him! Her eyes narrowed and a pout formed on her lips, though after a moment she quickly smiled once again. She would play along with this for now. “Nice to meet you Hatake-san.” She smiled even more. “Young? I’m eight years old! I’m plenty old enough to be out on my own.”

@himxwxri Himawari blinked a few times and then let out a small giggle. “I forgot for a moment there that most people know who I am because of my Tou-san!” She brought a hand up and rubbed at the back of her neck, a sheepish smile playing onto her lips. “Shikamaru-san? Mhm! I know him. Wow! You’re really his Tou-san? So cool!”

Back in the day, the child wouldn’t have needed to ask that. One look at his face and she would have been able to tell, because his son looked just like him anyway. Not the case anymore, not since the last war. On some days, Shikaku barely recognized himself. He survived the explosion, sure, but the damage was extensive. His hair gone, scars all over his body –that part he was used to –; he was actually surprised Himawari hadn’t run away. “Mmhmm. I’m reallly his tou-san. He’s a pretty cool guy, right? Don’t tell him I said that.”

She had seen his scars but they hadn’t scared her. “Like I said before, so cool! I’ve actually been wanting to meet Shikamaru-san’s Tou-san for a little bit now and now I finally have! Yay!” She clapped her small hands together and smiled happily. She then nodded her head quickly. “Yup! He is a super cool guy!” She said, a grin forming on her lips. “You’re secret is safe with me! I wont say a word! I’m super good with secrets. Like scary good.” She laughed.

The small girl grinned happily when she spotted a very familiar face in the crowd. “Iruka-sensei!” She yelled, running as fast as her legs would carry her. When she finally made it through the crowd and caught up with him she giggled. “Think fast!” And with that she threw herself at him, her arms wide and a bright smile on her face. This was her secret move. The Himawari Flying Hug Attack!

He turns around at the sound of a familiar voice calling his name, only to see Himawari sprinting through the crowded streets to get to him. Thankfully, they are both still young enough that ‘think fast!’ is still plenty of time. He holds out his arms, catching her by the waist and scooping her up into his arms with an exaggerated grunt. 

“You’re getting so big!”

She giggled happily when he caught her and then she proceeded to hug him tightly.  “I am getting bigger! I’ll be the same height as Nii-san soon! I don’t know how he feels about that but I think its funny!” She was grinning happily once again. "Anywho! How have you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in like forever!" Actually she had seen him a few days ago..Oh well!

“I've missed you Iruka-Ojiii-san!” She said, a bright smile on her lips. "Y'don't mind being called that right? Tou-san said you were like a Tou-san to him so I figured I would call you Ojii-san!"

Himawari stared at the older girl for a few moments, a frown making its way onto her lips. Only three Hokage? That wasn’t true! There were seven! Her daddy is the Seventh Hokage! “I..I don’t understand..There are supposed to be seven faces..” She muttered, looking rather confused. 

She really wanted to know what was going on..None of this was making any sense! It was like she was in another time! She then slowly nodded her head at the older girls question. “I g-guess I am lost..” She said, barely loud enough for the older girl to hear. 

“Himawari. My name is Himawari.” She forced a bright smile, though she was still upset and confused at the moment.

“Nice to meet you, Himawari, are you sure you’re not thinking of something else?” Seven? Seven?! That certainly made no sense, none at all. Maybe the child was visiting from somewhere and had gotten confused. That was the only thing the chunin could think of, at the least. “You’re in Konohagakure, maybe you’ve forgotten? Do you know where your parents are?” For someone to be so disoriented, lost, well they had to be a civilian…right? 

“Do you want me to help you look for them?”

“It’s nice to meet you as well, Rin-san.” She muttered, trying not to look upset. “Thinking of something else..?” No. She wasn’t. She just shrugged her shoulders and decided to not voice her answer to that question. “I..I knew that this was Konoha..I was born and raised here..” But it was in a different timeline! She frowned and shook her head slowly. She wished her Kaa-san or her Tou-san or even Nii-san was here with her. “No..I don’t know where they are.” She already missed them and she hasn’t even been here that long.

 “I..I don’t think you can help me look for them.” ‘They’re not born yet.’ She thought. She hoped that the words that she had said didn’t come across as rude or anything.
