In Ep 9 of EXO Showtime, you see Yixing with Chanyeol and obviously Yixing is depressed af primarily because he hurt his back and knee, they have upcoming performances, he can’t perfect his dance and when he does rehearse he’s in a fudgeton of pain… he’s also probably depressed because there isn’t a lot of time to deal with all of that mentally, he might not have anyone to talk to or time to talk deep enough to anyone. He has this time with Chanyeol, but at this point Chanyeol seemed to be a definite puppy and not undertand these types of deep feelings, although does try. Or he’s not close enough to Yixing to talk about it. People always refer to this scene and joke about Yixing being high or w/e but the reality is that he’s probably on pain meds or muscle relaxers due to his pain + the fact that he has to keep rehearsing/dancing, which would only serve to make the pain worse. You know which part I’m talking about, right? It’s even mentioned during his conversation with Chanyeol how Yixing/Lay has been depressed for a long time but you can see Chanyeol not understanding how to do the type of feedback that someone in Yixing’s position needs. And then, as many who are depressed do when there isn’t the proper type of feedback/help, Yixing adds some joking to his pain. The next scene you see him practicing and realize that he looked “high” in the previous scene because he was probably on pain killers, possibly muscle relaxers. And then you realize how sad the situation was and remember that he’s currently in pain doing the same thing until you finally remember that he also has a blood coagulation disorder and I just… x.x

I just feel like Yixing really needs protecting.

And healing just as much as we do, as much as he gives us. ♥
