Young Griff is the real Aegon because if the point of his character arc was him finding out that his parents weren’t who he, since birth, always thought they were, then we would have had his POV from the beginning of the story. There is no pay-off to Young Griff not being real when we don’t even have his POV to battle this revelation out in (”the heart in conflict with itself, yadda yadda yadda”)

However, we do have a character whose POV we have had from the very beginning, who is going to find out that the people he thought were his parents since birth, are not actually the people he thought they were: Jon Snow
