louis-alliot:
Louis raised a brow as Judy sniffed the air and chuckled as they were seated. “Is that like a gift of yours? Smellin’ the air to see what’s cookin’? I can usually tell is somethin’s worth eatin’ by smellin’ it, but I can’t tell ya the ingredients just by takin’ a whiff.”
Judy felt her cheeks grow red. “I... uh... no. At least, not on purpose. I just grew up on a farm, so it’s easy to tell the veggies.”
tinker-trixie:
“Oh, oh!” Trixie jumped up and down excitedly before laughing at the blonde’s comment. “I promise, I’m not psycho, but what I can tell you is that looks like two unicorns about to fight with their unicorn horns?”
Judy scrunched her nose. “I’m not here to judge.” She flipped to the next picture. “Interesting... What about this one?”
wxrriorathena:
Athena studied the picture carefully as she intently chewed her gum quietly in thought. “Logically, I’d say it’s just ink splattered into different spots to make a design, but, I’ll bite and say they look like a fox and a bunny.”
“Well, yeah. It’s an inkblot test.” Judy turned the picture towards herself. “What are the fox and bunny doing, exactly?”
iammoanaa:
“I work at a Hawaiian restaurant! It’s small, but cute. I like it there a lot. The owners have been super good to me.”
“Oh, I love Hawaiian food! Well, Hawaiian BBQ, which I think might be a little Americanized. Like fried shrimp and rice and macaroni salad? Yum.”
perriefairy:
Perrie smiled. “Hey, there’s nothing wrong with that! I know people who don’t like either of them, but at least you’ve found something you like! Are you a writer?”
Judy broke out into a laugh. “Me? Oh no, no, no. I’m a detective.” She hesitated. “I’m almost a detective.”
‘Wha’d’ya see here?” Judy questioned her subject, holding up a picture from an inkblot test. “Don’t worry, this is for psych. I’m not trying to get anyone arrested. Unless, of course, this proves you’re a psycho and I have to ask you in for further questionin’.”
louis-alliot:
“I mean, yeah, I’m not gonna skip a meal. But I’m more into the music right now.” He shrugged, leading her to the restaurant and holding the door open. “Great music and food isn’t somethin’ that should be passed up.”
Judy grinned as he held the door for her, something she missed from her hometown. “Agreed. I think we’re gettin’ both.” Judy’s nose twitched as she inhaled the savory aroma of the room. “I smell... carrots, and onions. A stew, maybe?”
louis-alliot:
Louis’s eyes fell on the restaurant in question. Nodding, he pointed to the building, “’Kay, game plan: we go in for whatever smells so good, and so I can hear the music. You in?”
Judy nodded, but paused to question him. “You don’t want to eat?”
perriefairy:
“It’s one of my favorite stories, to be honest.” Perrie stared dreamily toward the sky. “Do you have a story you like to read when you feel down? Something that…even if you’ve read it a million times, you still read every word?”
Judy thought for a moment. “I was never really into mythology, or stories in general. I liked news articles,” she admitted sheepishly.
louis-alliot:
“Wait, wait!” Louis tapped his foot and bobbed his head enthusiastically. “Ya hear that music? What is that?”
Judy turned her nose to the air in the direction of the sound. “I don’t know, but it sounds like it’s coming from that restaurant, and that restaurant smells so good.”
iammoanaa:
“Oof!” she called out as Judy turned. “Your driving is..fun too! And parking tickets sound…..extra fun?”
Judy’s laugh echoed through the concreted exterior, “The ticket part was not fun. But I had to do it. What do you do for work?”
perriefairy:
She closed her book, balancing it on her stomach. “I think I agree with you. It seems like the kind of love you’d risk everything for, but it’s always good to have a second opinion, you know?”
“It sure seems like it. I mean, he did risk everything.” Judy picked her head up, “What’s got you so interested in it?”
iammoanaa:
“This a lot of fun. I can’t believe I’ve never done this kind of thing before!” She looked around before turning back to who she was speaking to and grinning. “Do you do this a lot?”
“Yeah, it used to be my job,” Judy laughed, turning the wheel of the golf cart to avoid a sharp corner. “Only at that point, I was giving out parking tickets.”
monsieur-linguini:
Antoine sighed at the paperwork in front of him and returned to his red wine. As much as he loved being at Tres Bon, sometimes doing work outside of work was more productive. Tonight, he was more productive drinking. “I a-appreciate you coming h-here with me, and I-I think I’ve tried to w-work long enough.” He tucked his papers back in his bag and sighed. “S-Should we get m-more wine?”
Judy looked at his empty glass sympathetically. “Normally I would love to,” she began, rolling her eyes, “but I’m on night patrol later.”
perriefairy:
Perrie was quietly lying on the quad, holding the book above her head to shade herself from the sun. She was enraptured by the story of Icarus, which she’d read a million times, that she only noticed someone near her when she set the book down. Without much of a greeting, she looked up at them with a small, thoughtful smile. “Do you think Icarus flew to high because of his love for flying, or because he wanted to be closer to the sky?”
Judy scrunched her nose, hopping down to sit next to Perrie. She curled her knees to her chest, resting her head atop them. “I think either way, it would be because he wanted to be closer to the sky. If he didn’t, then he wouldn’t love to fly.”
