Angel has four children. Each with their names and faces and minds— unique yet alike.

Angel was in prison for some time. During which, her children were put in the custody of her brother in Vancouver, WA.

Angel says her attitude is bad, especially in the morning. I’m not a morning person, she says. I’m working on it. She feels guilty sending her kids off to school like that.

Angel is working at what we’re all working at. What we’re all trudging toward; what we’re all hoping won’t slip through our fingers this time.

This world is a broken place

Home indeed, is not a place

not in the heart, for we are all

broke at some point

not in the mind, for we only

think of ourselves

not in the eyes, for we are all

quick in giving judgement

I am searching for rest

a peace that is foreign to this planet

because only then, where love

truly immerse, by letting go of all

the things, hatred, and pain

that is far beyond our reach

there’s a hope we yet to know

a home we yet to found

a love we yet to feel

acceptance we yet to have

not only for a day, a month, a year

but forever, If we learn to set free

and love without the if

I am but a victim too

of that phrase “life is unfair”

but then, I found out

that’s the most honest quote

beacuse being fair

doesn’t belong to many

only to those who embrace humility

with this, I conclude

the best cure to this world

of constant change and imperfections

is to learn to love others

without expectations

Emotions can be a difficult thing to handle. They can go from their greatest peaks to their lowest lows within the blink of an eye. However, your emotions are not a bad thing. They are part of you. They are a part of the human experience. They will be there no matter what. Thus, it all depends on how we control them. How we use them to grow. How we develop from them. Don’t ignore your feelings. Instead, channel them. Use them to reach a greater state, your biggest goals, and your highest self.

I was listening to Harry Potter audiobooks while working recently! Deathly Hallows is my favorite book of the series, and I’ve always loved this scene. Took the opportunity to experiment with some painting techniques while making this fun little piece.
