The only sign of expression on the boy's face was the blinking of his azure eyes. He quickly looked the boy over, coming to no definite conclusion quite yet. He had probably mistook his walking in the hall behind him as the act of following. Of course, he could apologize and clear the misunderstanding up... but where was the fun in that? "The new iPod Touch and a WiiU," Hiro said dryly, tilting his head before giving a small smile. "And you?"

More people huh? There was still so many faces here he hadn’t seen yet it seemed. Though He wasn’t sure if He should say hello, after all he was not that great at starting conversations and would probably screw it up.

Unable to resist the impulse of raising an eyebrow, Hiro approached the boy. He had... cat ears...? No, on closer inspection, they appeared to just be headphones. Hiro mentally slapped himself as he placed his hands into his pockets. He himself had an unfortunate identity affiliation with a certain animal, one that he wasn't particularly fond of. Here he was, doing more or less the same thing to another.

His expression remained neutral, though a particularly strong stream of air escaped through the corner of his lips in lieu of a sigh. "Hi," he said concisely, quite unlike his normal demeanor. He was still sulking inside due to his mental blunder. He hoped he'd kick himself out of it soon, at that the other boy didn't notice.

The boy killed the rising chuckle in his throat. He did enjoy people's reactions, whether large or small. He couldn't explain it really. Whether they laughed, smiled, sighed, became irritated, he enjoyed invoking reactions from people through his own words or actions.

"Well," he said, a faint smile forming. "I'd like to know where in the Milky Way I wandered off to first off, and then I'd like directions to the Theater department... I think I've been lost for a few too many school periods."

Ugh, he kept bumping into these weirdos left and right. This school sure had variety, but most of them creeped the hell out of Heat. The teachers ranged from weird to terrible too.

“Hey, watch it. You almost bumped into me and if I drop these canvases, you’re gonna get it.”

The boy quickly swerved around the other without even blinking. However, he quickly turned on his heel to face the boy. His neutral expression gave nothing away as he stared for but a moment. However in the next moment, he bowed his head, though his expression didn't change.

"Terribly sorry," he said concisely. "The last thing I want is to catch 'it'. That's how my uncle died."

Hiro quickly felt a smile pass by his lips, though it faded as quickly as it appeared. Not for any particular reason, just that he liked to keep his face neutral most of the time. He slowed his pace to keep to Akinari, though he didn't mind much. He took his time anyways.

The corner of Hiro's lip betrayed him, turning upwards as he saw Akinari's confused expression quickly transition into one of surprise. It wasn't clear if he understood the reference or not, but his reaction was a fun one either way.

In response to his question however... he had not been expecting that. "...The nurse's office eh?" He tilted his head, trying to suppress any curiosity that might creep onto his face. "Well... I have often been told I am sick in the head, so maybe a quick stop would help a tad."

After staring blankly for a few moments, a small smile found its way onto Hiro's face. The other boy obviously didn't get his allusion, so he might as well drop it. "It's nothing," he said dismissively, waving his hand as if he were pushing the thought away.

While not quite sighing, he exhaled a tad bit deeper. After all, he was still lost, and his prompt for amusement seemed to have flopped before it began. On the plus side, it allowed him to focus on something that actually mattered. Fishing around in his pocket, he produced the map that he had been looking at moments earlier. "I don't suppose you can make sense of this, can you?" Hiro asked as he swallowed his pride. "I'm not quite the best at directions."

Anger, fear, and amusement were the three most common reactions that would usually result out of hearing a mysterious voice claiming to be the caped crusader. "I'm fighting for truth, justice, and the Hiro Kageyama way," he said, maintaining his dry tone as he finally came into view. As he saw who it was, he couldn't help but feel a small twinge of concern. A girl wandering the halls at this time? "My turn for a question," he said concisely, dropping the dry tone as he hopped a little towards her. Isamu had a bad feeling about this one. More than likely he was another naive idiot walking the halls thinking his high school life meant something. Ew. How awful that would be.

He wasn’t betting on being noticed but he called out anyway. “Hey. You. Who’re you?”

Hiro stared blankly at Isamu, giving nothing away as he gave him a quick once-over. He didn't form an opinion though, as it was against his nature to form a first impression from just an appearance. He tilted his head to the side, a few strands of his messy hair bouncing as he did so. "That's a fascinating question," he said concisely, keeping a straight face. "Some say that I'm the creation of a deity or deities, but some say I'm the result of a random explosion from nothingness. It's an interesting subject no matter how you look at it." As the last word left his lips, he paused for a few moments, leaving only an awkward silence. "Some call me Kageyama Hiro though."

Hiro yawned, trudging along the hallways half-asleep. "That's the last time I try to marathon a book series in one go," he muttered to himself between yawns. "Maybe if I keep a pager..." He shrugged as he continued along, keeping his hands in his pockets as he attempted to balance his schoolbag on top of his head. ...? Hiro stopped as he heard someone else's voice. While it didn't particularly concern him, it was rather peculiar that someone else was out at this hour. "I'm Batman," he said dryly, continuing forwards to see who else was making trouble in the neighborhood.

Sitting at a table in the library was a boy with his nose in a book. The only times he blinked were in the short pauses in which he turned the pages. Not once did the boy turn his gaze from the printed words as he absorbed them into his head. He appeared to be just another regular student in the library... except for one small detail.

Hiro yawned, closing his book as he reached up, balancing it on top of the several other books already placed on his head. "Maybe I'll just give the teachers a scare and show up on exam-day only," he mused, reaching to the side of the table for another book. As he turned the first page, his bright eyes instantly began flying across it. "My parents always did want me to get tested."

Hiro closed his eyes, sighing as he let his head droop a little. "Yeah... I'm a tad lost," he muttered, obviously not proud of actually admitting it out loud despite his early relative contentment. Though in the next moment, he returned to normal as he looked back up, another smile appearing on his face in response to Akinari's proposal. "I would like that," he said. "I'm glad this place has friendly people such as yourself." ... "Tell me though..." he said in a hushed tone. His voice became quiet as his eyes narrowed, looking each way as if he was afraid of being watched. "...Does this school get struck with lightning very often?" He quickly looked over his shoulder before looking back. "I'd advise you to be wary of the science teachers."

Hiro stopped waving, blankly looking at Serph for a moment before lowering his arm. He simply eyed him for a moment before a kind smile formed on his lips. Judging by his voice, he guessed that the other boy was one of few words. Perfectly fine of course, as he believed that actions were more powerful than words... even if words were a bit more fun.

Holding his own hand, Hiro reached out and grasped Serph's hand, shaking it firmly as his expression softened. "Kageyama Hiro," he said concisely, as if his name was merely the time of day.

While he was glad to see someone else in the building, there was still a problem for him. Hiro's thoughts went to the map in his pocket, but he quickly brought them back to the boy in front of him. Hopefully, he knew the layout of the school at least a modicum better than he did. "I don't suppose you have any golden thread on you, do you?"

Serph looked over at the student before him. He sent a wave his way and briefly wondered who the other was. Hopefully the male before him would introduce himself first, considering how bad Serph was with conversations. He just liked to have his actions speak for him.

Hiro tilted his head to the side, staring at the waving boy with a curious sheen to his eyes. His curly hair bounced slightly as he raised his own arm, waving back as he put slightly too much effort into it. He said nothing, his exaggerated motions being the only indication of personality.

The boy scratched his head in a mixture of confusion and frustration as he walked. The blinking of his azure eyes were only times in which he took his gaze off of the map in his hands. “Right…”...

The boy silently contained his reaction to the other boy's chuckle. He had apparently picked up on his reference. One of his greatest joys in life was hearing someone's laughter, or seeing someone smile. As he took his headphones down, holding them to his side, the corners of his lips involuntarily moved upwards into a smile as he nodded. However, in the back of the boy's head, he couldn't help but feel pity for the boy. In the next instant though, mentally slapped himself for it. The last thing that someone in such a state needed was pity. However, he did feel a twinge of guilt. Here he was, a fit young man standing before another young man who needed a cane to stand. He couldn't stop himself from showing a bit of humility through silence.

The short-lived yet awkward silence between the two was broken by the other boy's second question. "Ah, I'm Kageyama Hiro." He had to strain his ears to hear the boy, not helped by the fact he was listening to fairly loud music just moments ago. "And yes, I'm new here... This is my first day, and yet I appear to be lost."

Quickly, the boy named Hiro slipped another line through. "Is the principal's last name 'Minos' by chance?" Staring blankly for another moment, he quickly dismissed the question with a concise "Nevermind." The corners of his lips slowly turned up again as he placed his headphones into his pocket. "I'm forgetting my manners along with my sense of direction. What's your name?"
