Update
This character no longer exists in my lore but I'm keeping this blog up because unlike the others he has no replacement character.
hirokiakujiâ:
âIâm usually up most of the timeâ Hiroki explained, âEspecially while I have a pending mission to do. I usually only let myself sleep after the current targetâs been killed.â
He said as he took another sip from his coffee.
It was true, his sleep schedule was hardly healthy. His coffee kept him up longer than normal, though did mean when he did finally fall he tended to sleep incredibly heavily and also for quite long periods of time. Still, he didnât need to go into that much detail.
âWell this is going to take awhile,â Ami step out of the car, âSo do go to sleep tonight. Itâs bad enough that my boss does that. Do take care.â She shut the door and walked a few steps on the sidewalk. She mainly waited for him to leave for entering the building.
Though Hiroki nodded and went off to the nearest Morningstar hotel to stay at, he didnât really follow that advice at all. What he did the moment he was in his hotel suite was sit down in his chair and just listen to his music on his phone. Though he did have company in the form of Luxor, his sphynx cat, who immediately jumped up to sit on his lap the moment he was home. Petting the cat and scratching his ear, Hiroki was more than happy to be back âhomeâ.
At least for now. Luxor certainly was happy he was home, anyway.
hirokiakujiâ:
Soon enough, Hiroki arrived at the Decker Tower, and parked at the nearest appropriate space. Taking one last sip from his coffee, he turned to her and said:
âWell, weâre here.â he looked at the tower for good measure, looking up to ensure the lights from the top were indeed blue, confirming that he said âYes, weâre here.â
Ami put on her jacket and gather her stuff before exiting her vehicle, but before she left she asked, âWhat time are you usually up? So I can send you messages at an appropriate time?.â

hirokiakujiâ:
Hiroki would have remained silent for the entire drive, and just about did, really. He wasnât really good at starting conversations, let alone with people heâs only just met. However he was distracted when his phone went off, notifying him of something. He waited until the next red light to stop and look at it.
He saw it was a notification from Tomo and Mitsu - his nephew and niece, them cosplaying as Black Star from Soul Eater and Hatsune Miku respectively. He almost chuckled a little at seeing their posts about it on his feed - he followed them on a blank, âfakeâ account. They were the only members of his family he felt worth keeping up to date with, even though he knew he could never actually interact with them.
Either way, he put his phone back down after checking it, and took yet another sip from his coffee.
Ami yawned as she continued with her tea. She didnât ask what was on his phone. If she was curious anyways, she can hack into it later. She does has his information. It was just so tempting just to ask him to take her home, but that wasnât safe.
Soon enough, Hiroki arrived at the Decker Tower, and parked at the nearest appropriate space. Taking one last sip from his coffee, he turned to her and said:

hirokiakujiâ:
Thankfully, there was a red light coming up, so Hiroki was able to naturally stop and, well, wait. With a sip from his coffee he said: âGot it.â He didnât need any explanation beyond that, he easily figured it was that tower downtown that always had blue lights shining from itâs roof. He never went inside, only ever visiting the Syndicate Tower or the Morningstar twin towers, but seeing as how he wasnât stupid he figured things out quick enough.
Once the light turned green again he was sure to adjust his route accordingly.
Ami just focused on her tea. She kinda wanted to chat, but at the same time she felt uneasy with the guy. Silent types arenât for her as cool as some of them are. Thoughts started to go through her head though. Like if the guy ever cosplayed. He likes old school games and Yakuza⊠why not? Probably notâŠ

hirokiakujiâ:
âGot itâ Hiroki nodded and quickly wasted no time in beginning to drive back to the nuclear tower he had first gotten into. He was silent as he drive, having nothing to say and also not wanting to get any more personal with this young woman than he already had gotten. Doing so made him uncomfortable. He also had to focus on the road anyway, which thankfully was easier now that he had coffee fueling his system again.
Though he did wonder how long itâs been since he last slept, he hadnât keep track.
Ami noticed were he was driving and spoke up, âNot the powerplant. The tower in Loren Square. Sorry.â She went ahead to sip some tea. She probably wasnât clear on that.

Booting up the Attrazione and sitting in the driverâs seat, placing his coffee in the cup, he waited for Ami to step in the other seat. Though yet again he had the tunes of his playlist to listen to. Made forgetting about that fucking faker much easier.
Who the fuck keeps their costumes on when their not filming, anyway?
Deep breath
Heâs not worth getting upset over
Ami got in keeping her tea in hand.Â
âCan you drop me off at Decker Tower?â Ami softly said. Honestly this whole situation was not something she was used to. Rose probably couldâve- no- he probably wouldâve handled it worse. At least she had something to do in the morning.

hirokiakujiâ:
Hiroki understood and nodded, immediately motioning himself to walk outside, taking more sips of his coffee as he did so. Though even still he ended up bumping shoulders with that actor that walked in.Â
âHey, watch it, asshole!â the actor couldnât help but mutter. Hiroki, without even turning to face him, just muttered back just as bluntly: âFuck off, faker.â Before finally walking back out to his car was parked.
Ami followed Hiroki and watched the exchange happen. She waited to see if any quotes from the infamous hedgehog game would arise from the actor. She then finished off her last donut and followed Hiroki the rest of the way. Making sure there wasnât any crumbs on her.

hirokiakujiâ:
âAlrightâ Hiroki responded, standing up while still holding his coffee, âDo you mean the Decker tower or the Syndicate Tower.â he had assumed she meant the Decker ones, but just wanted to be sure.Â
âMn!â Ami took a bite of her other donut and signal him outside. People werenât paying attention to them, but still.

hirokiakujiâ:
âUnless you wanna talk more about the target, not reallyâ Hiroki admitted. He was never really one to carry a conversation on his own.
He took another sip of his coffee while writing his name and other required information down on the check.
âCan you drop me off at the tower then. Have someone pick me up,â Considering that she didnât have a ride of her own. Plus the Decker tower was safer to be at until she got home.
âAlrightâ Hiroki responded, standing up while still holding his coffee, âDo you mean the Decker tower or the Syndicate Tower.â he had assumed she meant the Decker ones, but just wanted to be sure.Â
hirokiakujiâ:
Hiroki nodded: âYes. I will.â
âAlrightie!â the waitress replied, âHereâs the check for before you leave, now Iâm going to get Shogoâs autograph!â and she happily skipped off to converse with the actor that had walked in before.
Hiroki couldnât help but have his lips twitch just slightly at the fact she called him by the name of his âlittleâ brother.
You know, most people use an actorâs real name. But whatever.
However, he at least had his coffee. He was more ânormalâ when he was âfueledâ up.
Ami was already half way through her donut when the waitress left. Not the healthiest dinner, but whatever.
âOh, anything else you need to talk about?â She didnât want to skip on any details. Plus with the bit of sugar in her, she was a bit more awake.

hirokiakujiâ:
âAh, I seeâ Hiroki nodded a bit, âAgain, I donât keep up with Sonic much anymore. I might look into modding Adventure 2 though.â
He still liked to play retro games sometimes.Â
Suddenly, just as Hiroki ran out of things to say, finally the maid came back and with a cheerful attitude handed their orders down on the table while saying: âHere are your orders! Hope everythingâs fine! Will you be having anything else?â About timeâŠ
Hiroki took the coffee in hand and took a sip of it while shaking his head âNo, Iâm goodâ he then looked to Ami and waited for her response.
Ami sniffed her milk before giving a nod. She mixed the tea and the milk and the tea together before dunking a donut in.
âItâs alright. You paying?â
Hiroki nodded: âYes. I will.â

(Realization that Shogo and Kazuo would have likely deduced that Hiroki had been alive the entire time when they showed up in Hell and found out that he was nowhere to be found)
take your time, they said.
the words will come to you, they said.
hirokiakujiâ:
â
âYou can mod Sonic Adventure 2?â Hiroki was genuinely surprised to know that. He really has let himself be out of the loop, âI take it you mean the PC version. I never found the time to explore such a thing, too busy with my work. And playing Yakuza.â
As for the music: âSonic Mania? Is that what they call it these days?â
He assumed that she was talking about being a âcrazedâ Sonic fan in general. He really was out of the loop, focused too much on the Yakuza series.
Ami tilted her head, then shook it, âNooo. Itâs an official game made by fans for fans. Itâs like the old SEGA games, and uses some old stages, but also has new stages and gimmicks. Tee Lopes makes the music for it.â
âAh, I seeâ Hiroki nodded a bit, âAgain, I donât keep up with Sonic much anymore. I might look into modding Adventure 2 though.â

hirokiakujiâ:
Hiroki tried to ignore this actor with the best of his strength. Luckily, he did have a question to answerâŠ.Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog. That was a name he doesnât hear other people say very oftenâŠ.indeed, only Deckers he converse with - which is to say this young woman and their leader as the only ones at all, bring it up at all.
âWellâŠ.yeahâ Hiroki answered, going along with it, âKind of. I havenât actually played a Sonic game in a while. Honestly Iâm still getting used to the fact they made more after that next gen one. â
Just recalling that one brought back a memory of him and his brother playing that one when they received it when it came out on the PlayStation. He also remembered that one of them got mad enough when stuck on a wall that a controller was actually sent flying through a window. He forgot which one of them did that, though.
âBut yes, I do like Crush 40 music, is the point.â
âYouâd probably like the Forceâs DLC,â Ami hummed, happy to talk something that wasnât work, âYou get to play Shadow for a few stages in his story, but after that, you can play him in Sonicâs stages. Also- Also Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Modded.â
âThe music is good too. I like Sonic Maniaâs tracks. Also Sonic Heroes. My brother also likes Crush 40.â
