She sat down across from him and only released his hand to pick up the menu, her eyes immediately grazing through the dessert menu. "Do you have any recommendations of wine to go with the -" She pursed her lips together, "oooo, chocolate lava cake?" She nodded when given a response, "I'll have that."

Clare hummed softly at the sound of his gentle voice, letting go of his hand stretch her arms and curve her back awake a bit further.

Eli’s heart skipping a beat he glances over just to admire her he was so in love with her he felt like the luckiest man in the world he always did with Clare.

His fingers naturally interlocked with hers their hands melted into one another’s with his other hand on the steering wheel watching the traffic passed by he drives further into the city checking his surroundings.

Clare's eyes drifted shut out of contentment, happy to be his passenger and let Eli drive her around. Since they were in the car, she didn't have to keep up a heightened sense of awareness like she did on public transportation. His voice drew her out of her small stupor, batting her lashes. But that his story about him and Lola was going to be the play at school, felt good to him. Especially since he had heard an alumnus was returning to school. Eli Goldsworthy.
