He must become more, I must become less. John 3:30
Haboring unforgiveness and deep wounds distorts your character and self-perceptions, and then it trickles into how you treat those around you. You could be and are the most precious thing in God’s eyes but because we fail to see how valued we are, we don’t live as such. We still nitpick, focus on physical flaws, and fall into so much discouragement and life feels like an awful rollercoaster. Am I saying the root is not knowing the Father, yeah because when you really know Him, those other things, perfect hair, perfect clothes, your favorite job, dream house and spouse all fall down before the beauty of His name. His depth surpasses every dream and imagination we will ever have today or for tomorrow, it’ll keep you when you don’t think you can keep going. It’ll help you when you don’t see any reason for it. God is more than someone who just meets our needs. He’s our friend. And our joy in obedience flows out of friendship, not service. Beloved, let us love one another, for anyone who loves knows God. Anyone who doesn’t love, just doesn’t know God.
Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV
“When Christians find themselves exposed to temptation they should pray to God to uphold them, and when they are tempted they should not be discouraged. It is not a sin to be tempted; the sin is to fall into temptation.”

sometimes you just need a cry session with jesus
“And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
Luke 10:27 ESV

destroy the idea that crying is negative. crying is relief, a way to let all of the sadness, anger, joy and emotion out. end the idea that we need to stop crying, stop letting out emotion, stop being human. end it.
Affirmations for the recovery process
Recovery is never easy. Everybody has heard that, heck I think everybody says it at one point. The rough parts, the plateaus, the ugly crying are just as vital checkpoints as the ‘pretty’ parts you see referenced in every self-help book. These affirmations are for the moments in recovery that are hard, the ones you feel like you can’t, or feel like you are stuck. This is a normal part of recovery, but that doesnt change the validity of these feelings. In these moments, it’s so important to be kind to ourselves, and remind yourself of how far you have come. These affirmations are gentle ways to practice self-kindness and help to keep up morale and motivation. Please feel free to use, share and adapt these in anyway that will aid you or anyone else on this journey. Remember you are strong, you are worthy and you are not alone.
My journey is valid
I am stronger today than I was yesterday and tomorrow I will be stronger
Healing is not linear
Every obstacle and trigger teaches me something
Every day carries me toward healing
I know *stressful task* is scary, but I am strong enough to do it.
I am making progress
I deserve happiness
I deserve recovery
I have survived alll my worst days, I will survive this too
I am growing
I am allowed to cry, feel my feelings, and have bad days
I know I will get through this
You don't have to do it all right now. One small step forward is still moving forward, no matter how small it is.
“My life is but a weaving Between my God and me. I cannot choose the colors He weaveth steadily.
Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow; And I in foolish pride Forget He sees the upper And I the underside.
Not ’til the loom is silent And the shuttles cease to fly Will God unroll the canvas And reveal the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful In the weaver’s skillful hand As the threads of gold and silver In the pattern He has planned
He knows, He loves, He cares; Nothing this truth can dim. He gives the very best to those Who leave the choice to Him.”
(Corrie Ten Boom)
