❝ Maybe. ❞ Yes, maybe dead.
The heat had surrounded the apartment; made it hard to breath sometimes, but he’d managed alright. Little black kitten had hidden himself underneath the couch for a while to keep in the cool darkness; panting on little pink tongue and running to silver dish of water every so often. Blue would be lying if he said he didn’t try to give Todd his own little cold bath; still not really grasping the sense that cats aren’t all too fond of water. He’d earned himself a few scratches in the process, but nothing too bad.
❝ Yeah. I did. With bubbles. ❞
Shivers up and down the line of his spine as Nico drags fingertips across—- Blue stares down at him fondly when he shifts to prop himself up on one elbow; resting the side of his face on the ball of his shoulder. Eyes widen and head shakes quickly. He hasn’t had a haircut before; sounds bad.
❝ No—— that’s alright. That would probably hurt. ❞
"Maybe."
He just repeats it because honestly, he doesn't actually understand Blue's logic and supposes it just has something to do with the fact that Blue is quite naive in nature, therefore doesn't care about arguments. He simply wants to be right. There's some guilt, here--he's checked around for that little fuzzball of a kitten Nico had gotten his brother, and he was lying on his back near the air vent to get some fresh air. Nico exhales deeply, thinking about this for a moment--he should probably turn the AC on next time so he doesn't actually kill Blue or his pet kitten.
And Nico is drawing back, prying Blue's arms from his form and pressing a kiss to his forehead.
"Good. Baths are good. Were the bubbles scented?"
A trivial question as Nico moves to the large window at the eastern end of the room--he draws it open with a swift push, a sudden gust of nighttime air sweeping over the room. He sighs softly, looking back towards Blue.
"Well, next time--try opening a window, yes? Then we won't have to cut your hair."
