the current trend of drawing tumblr itself as a sexyman when they used to be drawn a a hipster girl is actually evidence that the entire website transed its gender. in this essay i will

When you see a good meme but you have an aesthetic blog
date of origin: 20th of september, 2015.
this is such a great relic of 2015 tumblr specifically… Pepe at peak popularity before the backlash of him being labeled a hate symbol (the “rare pepe” era), the clear delineation between “meme” and “aesthetic” blogs, that moment when vaporwave had moved beyond being an obscure art movement with clear political intent to a vague collection of visual motifs (pastels, grids, plants, neoclassical imagery) and became synonymous with just the word “A E S T H E T I C” (but before being absorbed into mainstream 80s nostalgia, still seen as vaguely countercultural). truly takes me back, what a beautiful thing to see
all this talk about goncharov but i dont see anybody posting the soundtrack??? like how are you gonna talk about this movie without the music

they concluded that the rats were having fun partially bc the rats voluntarily initiated games, hopped around joyfully and teased researchers by pretending to come close and then skittering away. rats are Very Good
These scientists are getting grant money to play games with rats all day and that is just, living the dream.

You'll notice that people do this in multiplayer games for much the same reason!
@cloune why would you leave this in the tags
Hi everyone! I’m brand new, from Twitter, what should I do on this site first?
so cool you can do anything on this simply epic website !
no DNIs we just post content specifically catered to ourselves that will coincidentally alienate anyone with whom we would not want to interact
Maybe I’ll be more active on tumblr, solamenteee
I know some people are gonna hate this idea and I get why, but hear me out.
Streaming services should not only have director's commentary tracks available whenever possible, they should have the option for other people to also upload commentary tracks, and if commentators want they can charge anywhere from $1-5 for them.
And anyone who actually worked on the movie/episode can get verified so you know - oh that's a director's commentary! that's a costumer commentary! that's some PA's commentary!
Both "official" commentary tracks from the director or whatever, but also reactions, and also MST3K style mockery, and also Wizard People Dear Reader style absurdities.
And the largest possible chunk of this money goes to the people doing the actual commentary. Give stunt crew and people who don't usually get royalties on their movies a chance to earn some extra money from the job.
And people can also follow commentators, to know when they've commented on something new. Again, whether verified cast/crew (maybe you want to know any time a bit actor you like comments on another random tv episode they were in), or just commentary entertainers.
Sounds awful? You never have to even open the commentaries feature. But I want this. I think this would be great.
