Kinda late...buuut (I blame Frappacino Happy Hour 😒) Happy National Coming Out Day to my LGBTQIA+ Family!!! I love you all SO MUCH, whether you're out & proud or staying sheltered for safety reasons. I see you. I love you. I admire every single one of you. Coming out ain't easy. The first time I came out to my parents, I was forced out. That opportunity was stolen from me and to this day I don't believe I've fully forgiven the person responsible for that, but I can at least acknowledge that there was malicious intent. To me, coming out as a "gay" was relatively easy. Coming out as transgender...that's a much different story. I was much more terrified to that because I felt that I had already put my family through enough (even though most of them never expressed any sort of hate or resent towards me). I also felt that I was too old. That I had lost so much time living as the wrong gender, what was the point of living as the right one? I was scared that people at work wouldn't even try to respect my pronouns. Most importantly, I was afraid of rejection from loved ones. Terrified. Instead of rejection I've recieved more love & support than I could have ever imagined. So, on National Coming Out Day, I want to say Thank You. Thank you for your support & unconditional love. Thank you for knowing that me being transgender doesn't change who I am as a person. And for those of you still trying to process my coming, mourning my old life/self: take your time. I too had to process & mourn. I'm not going anywhere, so when you're ready to talk, I'm here ❤👨 #nationalcomingoutday #transmasculine #boi #enby #queeraf https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo0gGW-nYrd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1sdyo21zx3zyc
