Well, just hypothetically speaking, I guess you can use a proxy to get it from the avex site, rakuten or H&V, not sure if Amazon has the same set on sale. And of course, I could also purchase it for you if you send me the money and it’d still be cheaper than tokullectibles and the like, but since I already got you into a lot of stuff myself, you could try CDJapan.

Kimono Challange

Question 2: What is your most precious Kimono item(s)?

Well, I managed to pick three, but most of my collection is precious to me. The top one is my first kimono. It is on the small side for me, but I love the decorations and the silk. And when I have put it on, I feel so special, a very similar  feeling to when I wore my wedding dress^_^

The second one is currently on its way to me. Its a hikizuri, that most likely have been worn by geisha. Its just something about the decorations and color that spoke to me. I find myself just looking at the pictures of it and looking forward to the day it arrives

The third one is a houmongi that I drooled over for almost a year. One day, while visiting my uncle in Tromsø, I am checking Ichiroya and the daily updates. And the kimono is on sale. And I had gotten my paycheck the same morning… I love that it fits me. The decorations that gives is a feel of winter. The fact that the remains of the original bolt of fabric came with it.

All three of them was bought at Ichiroya.com, my favorite kimono shop. They have the most helpful and nice staff. The description and photos of the items are so useful, so I will highly recommend them to anyone thinking about getting a kimono.
