ive said this before and i'll continue to say it, IM BORED OF THE LOVE THEMES IN SONGS!! theyre so unoriginal and corny. dgaf who you are, lana del rey? dgaf. billie eilish? dgaf. marina? dgaf. its just boring. its plain, its unoriginal, its not unique, its overused. why cant we get songs on literally anything else????

a good example of a non love song is all the good girls go to hell by billie eilish. LOVE IT!! -- first of all. second of all, its about global warming and irony relating to it. i fully annotated the whole song in depth as an assignment for english. doing the assignment for 4 hours. 2 of those hours were spent looking for a song that DIDNT HAVE LOVE AS ITS MAIN THEME!! i was tryna find a lana song, nectar of the gods perhaps, but one of the first lines mentioned heroin so i couldnt use it 😭😭

with that said, some love songs are just amazing, especially if its not immediately apparent that it is infact a love song. a good example could be sweet by lana del rey, my fav song on the album :))

i highly recommend finding yourself a clingy (healthy) lovey dovey partner who's always super excited about you. life is too short to spend it with someone who acts like showing love is a chore.
