Mockingbird Sketch
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent, but if we can come to terms with this indifference, then our existence as a species can have genuine meaning. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.

719 Cherry Stone Drive
As a child, I would play under the roof overhangs on either side of the front porch of our house. I would call this my “fort", but it was really my first studio in a way. I would collect mud, rocks, leaves, and other found objects in nature. I’d take them and try to make something new out of them. I’d then prop them up. I had a collection of these objects. Something about that act felt exciting. There was a transformative quality there. The act of using a material changed my inner state. The question as to why I explore life in this way continues.
Dodecahedron. Ether.
In Progress
Below I’ve posted some rough drawings I’ve been working on for larger pieces. Just attempting to capture the feeling of a memory. It could be the wood grain in a table or the growling of a cyclone. At the time of the event, I see that I was not aware I collected these sounds and pictures. Are they distorted or accurate? It’s a little of both.
Fresh canvas panels are calling me.
