As the two of them stood in the middle of the dock and Troye was listening to Connor speak, he could feel himself getting overwhelmed with emotions by all the words that were leaving his mouth. He was feeling everything and anything good all at once, and yet he was still fighting against himself to keep it all in –– because if he spoke up now, he wasn’t sure what he was going to say. Despite the fact that in this moment, Troye felt completely comfortable with the boy standing in front of him, he was still scared of saying too much and having the other not feel the same way. So, he figured, the longer he kissed him, the less time he’d spend putting his heart on the line and run the risks of getting rejected. So he did. He kissed his boyfriend back as passionately as the other was kissing him, moving his hand from his chest to behind his neck to join his other as he brought him in closer, never once breaking the kiss because he had to. Yet as they continued, so did Connor, and at this point Troye was sure his heart was beating so loud that anyone could hear it. “Kissing me forever and ever seems like a very tall order, but I think between the two of us we can make things work.” His lips turned into a small smirk as he leaned in once more, this time only brushing his lips against the others. “I’m so glad we’re together. Promise me we’ll never go that long without seeing each other again. Promise me,” he repeated, closing the centimeters between their lips and locking them within one another. At this point, he didn’t want it to stop. He wanted to see where this all would take them, but just as soon as he felt the gentle tug on his shirt he pulled back just as soon as Connor had. A deep red washed over his cheeks as he stood there, thankful that they were standing in the dark. “What?” He asked, even though he had heard his question. He could feel the nervous pit starting in his stomach –– but it was the good kind of nerves. The kind that were more exciting than scary, and the kind that convinced him going through with it would lead to something better. “No, no. It’s okay. Yeah. You’re uh… you’re fine. I’m fine. It’s just you and me, right?” He asked, closing up the little distance they had made together, and gently brushing his hand against Connor’s arm. “It’s just us,” he spoke quietly, reaching for his boyfriends hand and bringing it back down to his own shirt.Â
As Connor looked at Troye, half scared and half worried that he did something completely wrong just because he let himself get too into the moment. His hands were off of his boyfriend’s body just because he startled himself, and could see that he had startled Troye as well, which caused his fear of messing up. He quietly watched over Troye, for any sign of discomfort only to hear him speak up again. “Y-yeah.” Connor said, agreeing with what Troye was saying about it being just them. His gaze watched Troye’s hand against his arm, noticing as he didn’t seem too concerned with allowing him go a little further than what they had gotten accustomed to. Even though, there were times in the past he would have wished to go further but he knew not to push Troye if he wasn’t ready. But, this time felt completely different. His touch was soft, reassuring and welcoming all at the same time. “It’s just us,” Connor repeated, letting out a soft breath as his eyes met up with Troye’s, his heart beating fast as he anticipated what was to come. “If it is too much, though, let me know.” Connor reassured as took the bottom of his shirt, before slowly taking it off of his body to reveal his soft skin underneath. His eyes drifted down to admire Troye once the loose material was off, a warm smile spread across his face. Then, he broke their distance even more, brushing his lips with Troye’s, speaking against them, “You’re beautiful, darling.” As he finally connected their lips, his hands were against Troye’s bare chest, enjoying the feeling.
