SKINNY MODELS
Looking at the fashion industry and the problems around the pressures of woman in the industry to have a size zero energy.
France have placed a low to reduce the amount of pressure woman face. The law prevents models with a BMI of or less than 18 being hired, meaning that a 5ft 10 model must weigh at least 8.9 stone to be able to be hired legally. Designer that go against the law will be fined or given a 6 month prison sentence.
Spain also bans models with a BMI below 18 from taking part in Madrid fashion shows and runways in Italy. Models must show health certificates to prove the hired models aren’t underweight and are fit to work.

PHOTO AGENTS - CLM UK
CLM uk are based in London but also have an office in New York. They represent a variety of photographers, make up artists, styling and film etc. Tom Craig, Mario Godleuski and Lacey are three photographers that are all represented by CLM. This agency is pretty high end and are looking for the biggest brands to work with. The agency have work that has been featured in Vogue, Elle an have worked along side people like Tom Ford.
GERMAINE WALKER
This is another agency that is based in London. They represent photographers, themes and production. Charlie Clift, Matt Barlow and Hannah Maule-fflinch are three photographer s in the agency. This agency is middle to high end and have worked with people like Olivia Coleman and Will.I.Am.
CONTRACT PUBLISHER - CPL
CPL are based in Cambridge, England. They provide commercial, editorial, video, design, content strategy and digital development for brands and businesses. They have clients such as; Darley, EY, CIM and Arthritis Care. This agency prefer to use them for business and commercial purposes.
MMC MEDIA
MMC Media are a contracted publisher based in Lancashire, England. They specialise in high end, luxury and bespoke brochures and magazines. MME media have worked with brands such as Bentley, Rolls Royce and Pied A Terre. This publisher are definitely in the more luxury, high end market and attract so money businesses to work with them.
DESIGN AGENTS - DEEP DESIGN
Deep design are based in London, they are a design agency, which provide a business with content. This refines their authentic brand. Ritz magazine, Belmond and West field are only a few of their clients. The agency is both high end and luxury that engage with similar brands and businesses.
STEVE EDGE DESIGN
Steve edge design is a London based agency that specialises in branding and marketing marketing for business and brands. Cartier, Hamleys and WWF are a small few of their clients. this is a high end agency that aim to get luxury brands, businesses and clients to work with.

Set Building Exercise
For this class we were asked to build a set using items already in the class, or from places like Poundland or a charity shop. My group decided to go for a minimalist set which used bold contrasting colours to match an outfit.
During the class we were struggling to come up with ideas in order to develop our shoot; it was clear a minimalist set wasn’t a good idea for this workshop. We tried a variety of shots using extra props we had but it still wasn’t very effective in terms of meeting the brief. After kinda giving up, we were messing around with the colour filters and tried them over my face and at different angles. These proved quite effective, although again, not really meeting the brief.
In conclusion it was clear from the offset doing a minimalist set wasn’t a good idea. It left us with little room to change things and ultimately affected the overall results of the shoot. Our lack of props made it difficult to edit and adapt anything. This was definitely a learning curve.
