[Vertical Surfaces] I don’t know about everybody else, but at my house every horizontal surface is cluttered with stuff. It’s so bad I’m starting to clutter up vertical surfaces!! As I was working on upgrading this bin holder thingy I noticed all that space on the side. So after doubling the bin count, I started sticking stuff in all that free space. I have a lot of stuff… probably should just get rid of it. [2-Hour Builds] I’d like to go to space someday… but until then sometimes I need to make my own. These little organizers are nice and they self-stack well. However, when you need the one on the bottom it’s a pain. I designed this on the fly and made some space for these things. Took a little time to label them which might be the biggest help, lol. [Functional Design] Oh, almost forgot this one. After taking the van out for a few trips I decided that cabinet doors were a hindrance. These spaces probably won’t look as nice when they are filled up with the stuffs, but I’m going with function over design on this one. The hard part here was the back of those cabinets were unfinished and not meant to be seen really. So the amount of prep to make them look better was the suck (and with close scrutiny still obvious). [Undone] Sometimes unfinished is okay. Making the decision to stop is a hard one, whether it’s a piece of art, a van build, or oneself. Finding that balance with being okay with what you have and not overworking it or going too far. I’m not sure where I found time to do this sketch this weekend as I was full time on the van (and myself for that matter), but I snuck it in somehow. I could probably work on it for a few more hours, but at some point I just said I like it just like this. Beats trying for that perfection I want but can never achieve.
