you’ve probably read or at least heard of this one, but if you haven’t I’ll tell you this fic is what made me start shipping sidgeno. It’s a monster of a fic and slowburn and it took be a few days to read it between work and life but it’s so so worth it

From Pittsburgh to Philly With Love by crookedsilence 

this is my current favourite bottom!sid on-going series. It’s not sidgeno and I had to do some research of Travis Konecny cause I don’t know a lot of Philly players but I love this fic a lot and check every day for a new part - its also a/b/o just fyi if that’s not your thing.

Into That Bad Night by 71tenseventeen 

Mafia!geno!! I first found this fic through the authors tumblr page (same username) and it’s brilliant and I really enjoyed the way the author wrote sid and geno. Also check out the timestamps, also excellent content.

this again is a/b/o which is probably my favourite thing to read so I’m sorry if that’s not your cup of tea. There’s a section in the first chapter where geno talks about the importance of pleasing an omega and like I was hooked from there. 

It can be frustrating but it does take some digging and asking around. Half of these fics I came upon are in thanks to other users.

I hope this will suffice! I will at some point soon share a longer more fleshed out fic rec with summaries and comments. But I’ll throw you some author recs to look through who primarily or exclusively write bottom!sid.

How have I been writing forever and yet I’m still not done?

“Are you done?”

Zhenya looks up at Sid standing on the other side of the table, empty plate in one hand while the other is outstretched, teaching toward Zhenya’s. 

“Yes,” Zhenya says as he picks the plate up so Sid can grab it. There’s only one bite of omelette left and Sid grabs it with his fingers and pops it into his mouth, a piece of diced onion slipping out and hitting the table, before he takes both plates over to the sink. 

“I’m going to the store this morning,” Sid says as he rinses there plates, “do you want to come…..Geno?”

“Ah.” Zhenya shakes his head. “No, don’t think.”

“Okay. What do you want for dinner, I’ll pick something up.”

“Umm..” Zhenya shrugs then realizes Sid can’t see him with his back turned. “Fish.”

“We had fish last night.”

Zhenya suppresses a sigh. It’s too early for so many questions. “Burgers,” he decides, “can use grill.”

“Beef or turkey?”

“Umm. Beef.”

“Regular fries or sweet potato?”

“….sweet.”

“Okay. I’ll see what vegetables they have. Maybe some corn.”

Sid sets the plates in the drying rack and raises his arms above his head in a long stretch. Zhenya watches him ease up onto his top toes, the muscles in his calves flexing before he drops down and turns. 

“I’m gonna take a shower before I go,” he says, scratching a hand across his stomach as he steps toward Zhenya. He pets a hand through Zhenya’s hair. “Do you wanna join me?”

Zhenya sets his phone down and pushes his chair back. He doesn’t need to think twice about that.

He’s ready to call it a night and since he knows the chance of finding any of the guys in the massive crowd in front of him are slim to none, he pulls out his phone to fire off a text to the group chat.

The Pens are being so seriously awesome right now! 

They’ve created an entire pdf file of Pens-themed coloring pages to print out.

They’re apparently starting an exercise video series featuring their strength and conditioning staff (with guest appearances from Rusty and Oliver).

The players have been posting videos.

Seriously, I miss hockey (especially Pens hockey). But the Pens organization and players are still being amazing!
