Neither you nor Matt were bakers by any means, but when you saw a recipe for twix cookies on the lock app you knew you had to get him to make them with you.
"Next step. Add the floor and baking powder. Mix throughly." you scrunch your nose trying to read the small print on your phone.
Matt did as you instructed, using a big spoon to transfer the dry ingredients into the bowl that contained the wet ones and then turning on the mixer.
A mixture of half flour and part dough flew everywhere. Unbeknownst to him, Matt had accidentally set the mixer to a high setting.
You giggle as Matt scrambled to turn the device off. "You think that's funny?"
"It's hilarious babe" you tried to cover your laughter, failing miserably.
Matt broke too, he couldn't hold it either. In his next move, Matt took one of the eggs on the counter and crushed it over your head.
"Hey! We need those." You try to resist the urge to get him back with another egg.
Taking a small glob of the gooey cookie dough, you fling it in his direction. He totally saw it coming but was not able to move out of the way in time and hit him.
In retaliation, Matt tried the same action, but getting a different result as the dough sailed past your head. Laughing and having fun the little food fight continued until there was about half the amount of dough left than what you had started with.
"How many of these things do you think I can fit in my mouth?" Matt started unwrapping all the little kraft baking caramels while you finished with the cookie part of the cookies.
Shaking your head at your man, you gave him a wild guess of ten pieces of candy. Proving you wrong, Matt was able to shovel sixteen on the square caramels in mouth.
It felt like forever until the cookies were ready and it was time to taste test them. And oh my god where these things delicious. Not quite like the popular candy bar, but close enough.
"Damn these are good. We should make 'em again." you snag another cookie from the baking sheet.
"Or we could find another one to make." Matt suggested.
"You really want to do this again?" A mischievous grin spread across your face.
"Of course! Babe this was so much fun. I want to do this again." Matt returned the smile, stealing the rest of the cookie that was in your hand.
