A mess of wild, dark hair came strolling over to him. Elena Gilbert, who happened to hate him. In every single way possible. Although, yes he had done things to her, and her family; he did not mind her company. Nothing but sadness overwhelmed him. Not even Rebekah had come to visit, or say hello to him. Which wasn’t exactly something Klaus expected.
A small tinge of sadness coursed through his undead veins. The block of plastic in his hand was doing nothing. Swiftly he threw it to the ground, and crushing it with his boot. “Elena,” he said in a smooth tone “We may have a problem…” The vampire’s crystal blue eyes glanced around. The sounds were different now, no cars, not as loud, and the sound of horses could be heard everywhere.
"Maybe it’s best if we explore if not anything else. I have a very bad feeling about this." Even the Original could not fathom what was happening. It was almost a bad reality check; that he once lived during these times. If he could feel anything it would be a sinking feeling, a sinking heart, slowly making it’s way to his stomach. Beating against it as fast as it could.
"Shall we," pushing out his arm, he decided it best to be nice, after all they were stuck together.
"Elena.." The way her name rolled off his tongue sent shivers down her spine, and not in a particularly good way, either. She halted her walking, pausing in her spot as she waited for his next words. She was unsure of whether to turn around, or not. "We may have a problem..." Her brows pulled together in a furrowing manner, unsure of where this 'problem' was going to go. But the confident Elena struck through, and she turned on her heels to face him, ready to confront it head on.
It was then that she realised the noises... the click-clack sounds of horse shoes in the distance... as she glanced around, she tried to focus on any familiar noises of cars, of the town in the distance — but strangely enough, there was nothing. Her eyes met with Klaus' own blue hues, eyes she was far too familiar with for her own good. But she knew he was right, and as she glanced down at her phone again... she couldn't fight off the hounding feeling that something was definitely wrong.
And when he offered to explore, she knew it was her only option, though she had had a momentary wariness of his sudden warmth and friendliness towards her. Her eyes fell to the door of the Boarding House, wondering if Damon would be okay without her for a little while. But she knew he would search for her if she didn't let him know.. she made a mental note to text him soon. As her eyes met Klaus once more, "shall we?" she reached over and took his extended arm without hesitation. "Let's go, now, before they notice I'm gone." Nice Klaus was never without other intentions, that she knew. But she couldn't risk not knowing; she couldn't shake off the pressing curiousity within. This was the only way.
