but in my opinion, yes! i think because of his actions leading up to that talk and then their reactions after he says that, it is him admitting he loves her. obviously im huge on barson so i only see it as an admission of romantic love, but i do think this is where it can be left up to interpretation (as in platonically or romantically, but given their history i think it’s pretty clear as to which)!

omg sorry forgot to explain for those that don’t know 😭

but basically it’s the first time liv calls barba by that nickname “rafa” and they even show him like kinda registering it like “did she just say ‘rafa?’” so it’s a really cute barson moment (and therefore propelled the creation of this blog haha)
