We had a great interview about tom saying he was eager to work with people who will push him and that he had this whole process in choosing projects and he’s spent so much time doing that and now we hear that he’s not working for the rest of the year. What the hell is he ever saying anymore 😭

I really don’t understand why he announced all those projects in 2024 just for none of them to have any movement even now (except for the Jason Bateman addition) after this summer we’re really not gonna see anything from him til 2028 or 2029 💀

but GODFORBID you talk about his career bc everything is just oh so dandy 🤪

and godforbid I dont want him to waste his talent by spending over half of the year doing nothing after saying we’ll never see him again when he has kids

I get with american speed, austin is filming other stuff prior, and that jason bateman is doing another movie. Like i understand that film production and all that takes time and effort but I don’t want tom to waste his talent by doing nothing, he’s too talented i need to see him everywhere.

Literally though, and the thing is, while waiting for other stuff to be ready, can he not just do something else in the meantime? Do a small role in a show or a supporting role in a movie, something that doesn’t take that much time and you can still make something good and fun out of it. He doesn’t have to do a lead role or an action role every single time. But instead he’s doing nothing. I get taking a break after filming something like spider-man but after like 2 months it’s like ok do you really need to sit around any longer? some projects only take like a month or two to film, and he’s taking like 6 month breaks. It’s just sad to see him spend his time wasting his talent by not using it
