Aaron crossed his arms over his chest as he listened to the little girl. She couldn’t be more than thirteen years old and if the cops did bring her here, then he wouldn’t be in too much trouble. He’d just have to double check with Pearl if she knew this kid or not but then again why would a little thirteen-year-old girl wanna come hang in the back of a strip club? Who knew.

"Yeah, okay. Just stay here then… You want some- thing to drink? Or a snack?“

“Uh-”

She almost asked for a Yoohoo, but then she remembered where she was. They probably didn’t have it. So she thought about it for a second.

“Maybe an orange soda?”

At least this guy didn’t seem mad, it wasn’t her fault that her dad and Mr. Healy were ,of course, in trouble.... again. “Please?”

Aaron had done a couple interviews with some girls that he was thinking about hiring. But he wanted Pearl’s thoughts on them, to see if they would fit in well here. He didn’t want another Lacey incident with Pearl, because it was just a mess and Pearl was the crowd favorite and his better employee at that.

He headed to the back and when he got there he was about to say something but that’s when he saw the kid. He just looked at her confused because he’s never seen her before and normally his girls would let him know if they couldn’t find a babysitter so Aaron allowed them to occasionally bring their kids to work.

"Uh… Whose kid are you?“

Part of Holly worried that she was in trouble. Technically, she wasn’t kid of anyone that worked here. But, she did hope that Pearl would end up marrying her dad. Which would one day make her her step mother. One day. But, not today.

Concern clearly obvious on her features, she slipped her bookmark to keep her place for the time being. Then her delicate hands set the book down on the vanity.

“My dad’s dating Pearl...and him and Mr. Healy got in trouble on a job. So the police dropped me off here. She was just about to go dance when I got here.”

This was the first time in a long time that he wasn’t working and so he wanted to spend time with his daughter. Sure, he will end up drinking and getting drunk but the first few hours he’ll be sober and with her.

He ALWAYS was working, so she couldn’t help the buzz of excitement. Her mind raced, but she went with the first thing that came to mind.

“Can we go get ice cream?”

Holly sat in the back dressing room while she waited for Pearl to finish her shift. With her dad and Mr. Healy out on case, (and them getting into a bit of trouble) she didn’t really have anywhere else to go until they bailed him out. She looked up hearing footsteps, in hopes that it was Pearl, but instead it was her boss. Shit. “Uhh, hi.”
