I don’t wanna sound like I don’t think children’s shows can be deep or even that precure itself can’t be deep but I feel like some people just don’t understand the concept of static characters, like not every character is going to get character development and that’s ok. They can still go through hardships and have moments of growth but they’re still the same person they were from the beginning of the series. For example obviously Miyuki went through a lot and had moments of vulnerability but she was very much the same person she was at the beginning. This applies to a good chunk of the precure and that’s not a bad thing at all. Komugi is probably going to be a similar case, like I’m not expecting a pubby to really change all that much. I think I can say with a fair bit of confidence she’s going to be just as clingy with Iroha at the end of the series as she is now 😭
