A controversial CoD/SLBP player (‼️warning: may cause discomfort‼️)

I’ve been meaning to share examples of the prohibited behavior Voltage referred to in an in-game notice on 2024 March 15. I knew a prospect contributor right away. She may have left weird messages on the CoD Avatar Contest page (which I didn’t see), but she’s done the same on message boards in CoD and even SLBP!

I don’t know what’s going on in her private life that she thinks it’s okay to rant about these topics in the games. Even another player suspected she was one of those responsible for the notice.

However, it seems that since the notice went out, she hasn’t written anything in CoD similar to the screenshots because SLBP might be her new main platform to write her controversial comments.

Update: 2024 April 26

It seems she does plan to make SLBP a new platform for her rants. I already reported her to Voltage.

Update: 2024 May 09

She’s back to being controversial in CoD. I reported her again before this notice, as is proven in the mentioning of Messages. Voltage needs to suspend her already.

Update: 2025 March 02

l've been relatively inactive since August-September 2024, but she's still making political comments and one of her in-game friends initially deleted her because of them. I contacted Voltage to escalate this ongoing issue, but I think they ignored my report because they usually reply promptly.

There were inconsistencies due to a mix of other regional Mediterranean and European muses for each kingdom, such as Gothic Revival, Haussmann, and Moorish architecture. Overall, my main guesses are:

Avari/Monus: China

Akedia/Belve: Greece

Luxure/Modea: Southern France

Qelsum/Quifer: Île-de-France

Invidia/Revia: Italy

Voleri/Lezele: England

Ira/Sata: Morocco

Isle of Colde/Cold Island: Southwestern France, Switzerland

So there’s this niggling thing in my mind where I can’t help imagining that the other person are always just standing there awkwardly watching

I know life’s priorities can get in the way of remaining active in the game, but that doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to get frustrated when this happens. I could’ve helped another player and vise versa had they taken this inactive player’s slot. They hadn’t played since the event started.

In my experience, both Asians and non Asians are pretty unaware of Asian American history. I was too up until college when I took it upon myself to learn as much as possible. I’m STILL learning. The thing is, our history is barely taught. You might hear about Chinese Exclusion or the internment of Japanese citizens, but that’s usually it. In order to combat racism, ignorance, and disrupt the model minority myth, we need to understand our history.

Court of Darkness kingdoms are tied to the seven deadly sins

Other players likely already discovered this concept, but I wanted to find out if the kingdom names had actual meanings. I knew Luxure meant lust, and Invidia sounded a lot like envy. I became curious about the other kingdoms’ meanings, which would explain the princes’ personalities.

Note: Since I’ve only played the English version, I don’t know much about Voleri, Ira, and their respective princes(?) in general. I also could be mistaken about some of the other information shared.

Avari: Greed

Derived from avarus/avarice, greed in Latin

Avarians are known to be ambitious

Guy actively seeks MC’s power to become king of the realm

Akedia: Sloth

Derived from acedia, without care in Latin/Greek

Akedia is known for its napping qualities

Lynt is always sleeping and going at his own pace

Luxure: Lust

Derived from luxuria (Latin), lust in French

Luxure permits polygamy

Fenn is flirty and seductive

Qelsum: Pride

Derived from celsus(?), the one who should be high/noble/dignified in Latin

Qelsum’s rivalry with Avari

Toa’s mandatory duty to be the perfect prince of Qelsum

Invidia: Envy

Derived from invidere, to look against in Latin

Invidia is known for their covetous flowers (and silverware)

Invidia isn’t part of the trade alliance

Roy looks up to Guy/Avari

Voleri: Gluttony

Derived from volere, to wish or want in Latin/Italian

Voleri produces the most food and has citizens with big appetites

Rio eats a lot

Ira: Wrath (updated 25 June 2022)

Ira is known for their military might

Why doesn't Voltage use the princes' actual last names in the English version? Is it because it'll be easier to remember if their countries were used as surnames?

Real last names: Guy Monus, Lynt Belve, Fenn Modea, Toa Quifer, Roy Revia, Rio Lezele

Bonuses: Lance Sata (of Ira) and Dia Belve

Note: I found out that the reason for the different last names in the Japanese audio versus the English writing is because the names in the Japanese version are named after demons/seven princes of Hell. The Japanese title is even “Hell Princes and Enchanted Nightmare.” Also, the names in the Japanese version are similar to the Obey Me! characters. I think it was smart for Voltage to completely change the last names in the English version and base them off of Latin.
