Recent weekend photos. I’ve been working on so many knitting projects and trying to stay out of the heat. Winter knits are made in summer…or so I’m told. The summer seems to be flying by and I’m leaning towards autumnal colors, perhaps giving me a subliminal message that I’m done with the sunshine.

The only thing left to do is pack them into the envelopes — baby shower planning is almost finished.
Glorious chocolate cherry smoothie from my afternoon break 🌷 this is one of my last weekends in this town before we move to another state 🧺🌾

Cozy Life Tips

Plan your space efficiently
You’ll find yourself using items daily, so be mindful of where those are placed.
Clean several times a week
By picking up and sweeping every other day, your home will feel lovely to live in.
Use minimal seasonal decor
Rather than over decorating for holidays, keep neutral decor year-round and put up subtle decorations to signify the changing of seasons.
romanticizing winter weekends
The holidays are over and now we have to get through the rest of winter (which has been a challenge). Here are some ways you can plan cozy weekends to stay motivated!
🤍bake with seasonal produce: I use pears and apples to bake bread and cake on Sunday mornings.
🤍go for a hike: we bundle up and wear snow boots to brace the great, frosty outdoors.
🤍have a picnic: bundle up and sit in the sun when the day is warmest, and get even warmer with a flask of cocoa or tea.
🤍meal prep for the week: do your shopping at local markets and make meals that can be reheated during the week.
🤍write at a cafe: pack up your things and move to a window seat at Starbucks or a local coffee shop.
🤍organize your skincare: use your time off to toss what has run out, and determine what can be repurchased.
🤍read those books: I’m finally getting through by TBR list on days when the weather is too cold to venture outside.
🤍knit yourself accessories: instead of buying overpriced knitwear, I get inspiration from Free People and Anthropologie and try to knit my own versions of garments.
🤍clean your room: not romantic, but it important, and I always feel better afterwards.
If you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments!
