people get so impressed with themselves for inferring that any difficult personality trait is “a defense mechanism.”
in the market for more records that are like $5 on discogs from bands that existed 6-13 years ago and bring up a terminal boredom thread on the first page of google results but are actually not half bad
five out of five hot dangs, an instant classic
anna just starts laughing really uproariously every ten minutes like “sorry im just looking at bryan’s arrest photo again”

today my parents’ cable led me to a special on the channel destination america that was just a five hour POV train ride through alaska. this was a really soothing program in its own right, and i hoped it was part of a POV train ride series, which was a soothing thought. it excited me to consider the creative wild west of cable channels no one watches. however, as it turned out, its purpose was to promote a show about people who work on that railroad and others who live off the grid in alaska and rely exclusively on it for any kind of access to the outside world. i felt despair viewing this program and now i am afraid ever to watch television again. sorry for my rambling but i drank 8 oz. of beer five hours ago.
i got the melancholy blues
i took this photo when i was a wee 19-year-old dilettante and now it will be my legacy. it is easily the most beloved content i’ve ever uploaded. last time i was visiting my parents and drove by this church, the sign said “discover” jesus with a big discover (credit) card. i feel like they didn’t bother painting on a made-up credit card number because they probably couldn’t think of one with appropriate symbolic heft so there was just a lot of empty space under the logo. it was still pretty visually striking.

hey fellas, ya ever keep jerkin’ it *after* you have intrusive thoughts about how kids nowadays become desensitized to porn at a shockingly early age?
sometimes believing the hype feels gooooooood
the mets
i feel like i’m in an anti-depressant commercial when the brightness increases and/or it switches from greyscale to color, and i can finally be myself again (which seems like a good thing for now), probably because this series was such a...series of slow-motion trainwrecks, but at the same time i’m gutted. glad you didn’t have to see this one, grandpa.
