INTRODUCTION

i am a girl who loves clementines and surreal, unconventional writing. arabic is my mother tongue. my birth month is august. i like heavy rain.

i write litfic and poetry and somehow always manage to incorporate frogs and life and biology into my fictional pieces oddly (in the most scientifically inaccurate way you could ever imagine). i don't know how or where it happened, but i love it dearly. feels like a genre of its own.

currently writing a literary mystery novel with hints of sci-fi.

i’ll be posting short pieces, excerpts from my works in progress, streams of consciousness, and everything in between.

I miss the person I used to be when I was a Tumblr kid. I miss the feeling of being free, even while I was dealing with the immense weight of the entire world in my chest. I miss my own naivety. I miss the way I used to feel nostalgic, and poetic, and like a person even when I didn't feel alive. I miss when the world was AI-free. I miss who I used to be without adulting daunting on me. I miss life without bills. I miss posting random things without wanting them to be curated. I miss being a kid without wanting to rush, or match up to a set pace that doesn't feel right. I miss being human. I miss the way a book's pages would feel like a warm hug. I miss my ideas, my thoughts, my sensitivity to the world. I miss everything about who I was when I was only seventeen; funny how I thought I'd never make it out of that age. I miss me. I think I miss me so damn much.

it's happened. i outlined a little more, scrapped my first opening from last winter, and started writing all over again. 1.5k words in and feeling madly determined. and very absorbed, it's practically all i can think about.

april 17:

146 words (a few minutes of writing in psychology class and 7ish minutes of writing just now a few minutes before bed) + came up with solid vibes for story 2 which is really fun
