Howdy all!

You can call me the Librarian! I'm AroAce and Agender, She/They pronouns, 26 years old, and a bookworm! I love all the Welcome Home characters, but Eddie and Poppy are both very dear to my heart.

I've been into Welcome Home since 2023 (I made it in the guestbook!) and my interest in it came back full swing last November, but I finally got around to making a blog for it now! I wanted to open up writing requests for the blog too, since I love reading (and writing!) them.

Couple of rules real quick:

This blog is SFW ONLY

This blog is run by a queer person, so no homophobia, transphobia, aro or ace phobia, etc. (And absolutely NO RACISM of any kind)

My life offline can get very busy, but I'm pretty quick on getting to requests!

I'm not picky on ships in WH (I have my own ones I like), but please be respectful to each other!

I write for all nine main characters, I may need a bit more research into side characters, but I'll try to be as flexible as possible.

For the time being, I won't take OC requests, just so I don't get anything wrong for them

Please no requests about pregnancy, heavy gore, Yanderes, or pet death (particularly cats)

ABSOLUTELY NO AI. I don't use it, please don't use it either. Do not feed any writing here to any Ai program.

I write platonic, romantic, x reader, neighbor x neighbor, headcanons, short little ficlets, pretty much anything. Some of my own works will be posted on the blog, as I've been trying to write fics for the fandom, but I'm open to pretty much any requests.

Welcome Home Characters as Coffees

I love coffee, and my local coffee shop always has the best drinks on special. Here are some of them that I felt fit the Welcome Home cast!

Wally - Apple Pie Latte

Crisp apple syrup with a little cinnamon on top makes this latte just "the most!"

Barnaby - Eggnog Latte

I don't know if it's better than Mama Beagle's Barnyard Eggnog, but I'd like to think our favorite jokester would have a soft spot for this holiday latte!

Julie - Cherry Blossom Latte

Springtime in a cup! Sweet and bright, plus it's a lovely shade of pink that matches Julie well!

Frank - Honey Bee Latte

Did I partially choose this because of the "bee" in the name? Of course! But also, it feels very Frank, sweetness with just a titch of saltiness.

Poppy - Cinnamon Roll Latte

Literally a baked good in liquid form, it's so good! It also tastes very much like Autumn, a season that I heavily associate with Poppy.

Howdy - Strawberries & Cream Cold Brew

A strong coffee plus a good helping of strawberry for a very busy caterpillar! I could see him making this in addition to his strawberry sodas.

Sally - Dark Chocolate Mocha with edible glitter

This was actually served for the 2024 eclipse at my local coffee shop, though I've always considered dark chocolate to be rather dramatic. Plus, with the gold glitter on top? Perfect for Sally!

Eddie - Raspberry Shortbread Latte

One of my absolute favorite drinks, served during February for Valentine's Day. It's a sweet and pleasant little latte, the kind that'd make you smile no matter how you were feeling before.

Home - Hazelnut Latte

This is a little more personal, but I've always associated hazelnut coffee with my own home. It's a gentle and inviting flavor, one that makes you feel nostalgic for a place from long ago, which, honestly, is how Welcome Home in general makes me feel <3

Oh, to have a cozy craft day with Eddie during the winter...

It's too cold out to do anything outside, so you're both snuggled up in a mess of blankets, surrounded by paper, glue, stickers, any craft item you could dream of, cup of cocoa in hand...

The two of you make Homewarming decorations for the post office and your house, with tons to spare for the neighbors. Think paper chains, coasters, the classic snowflake, ornaments, snowglobes, etc. Eddie even shows you creative ways to wrap presents!

If it's still too cold in the evening, you spend the night, falling asleep surrounded by your decorations, with Eddie at your side and the Homewarming tree with its lights twinkling in front of your sleeping selves.

All perfectly cozy.

Home likes to be decorated with the crafts you make

Is a wonderful listener when you need to vent

Always has an open door for you to come in during the bad weather

I’m sick and fighting to work on the Update, so alas I could not make Wally Propaganda…. This is my speech…

Wally fought Valiantly in the Sexiest man Competition by standing there and smiling, and there is 4 Hours left, but I fear his fight ends here- But making it past one round is nothing to Sneeze at, and if Wally knew how to sneeze he wouldn’t sneeze at it either! Thank you all for Getting Wally one ☝️ Gold Medal!

Poppy x Reader General Headcanons

I received a comment on my pinned post requesting anything Poppy x Reader, so that's where I'll start! (Ask box is also all set up and open!)

One of the most tender lovers you could ever have

Lots of indoor dates, just cuddling while she knits

It's so warm under her wings

She loves to knit things for you

Expect to find your favorite treats homemade and a cup of tea when you come over "just because"

Bake with her!

You two come up with so many new desserts for everyone

Soft, light kisses are her specialty

She also leaves home a bit more when you're going with her

Hello everybody!

As you guys know, I tend to keep to myself when we’re working on Welcome Home and only come out of my hermit’s burrow to give us all an update! This is that! 

Unfortunately for May, the workload has been more than anticipated, so I didn’t have time to properly produce a Minute with Wally like I hoped I could…! I hope this will suffice instead! (We also hope to do one next month if things improve!)

The next Merchandise drop is in the works too and it’s so so so sweet! It very much matches a very particular fellow! I’m also happy to write that most everything is available in our merch store found on the website! Each purchase goes to helping us keep building our happy home and promise future updates so the story can reach its end!

(Artwork by @downydig !) As for this upcoming update, I really want to keep everything a surprise, but I will say we have so much tucked away that we’re eager to share when the time comes! (I love hearing and seeing the reactions we get, it makes everything worthwhile!)  It’s funny to say, but much of this year’s workload has been spent on both Eddie’s update and every single update moving forward! (We intend to update twice a year until it's done, if things keep going well enough, for example!)

Also to know… We intend on dropping in the summertime within the next couple of months! Once I feel confident, we’ll offer a proper date! (I have to break our Updately tradition of me being late! I must break the curse of Home) All else I can say about it is…! Yeehaw! 🎤🐴
