Had quite the TMI tier dreams that felt uncomfortably real (like what I had when I was heavily medicated) and I woke up at 3 AM absolutely exhausted

The thing is, the dreams were about FNAF of all things, Afton in particular, but I deadass do not know anything about FNAF at all besides the time mom dragged me along to watch the first movie adaptation with her and that everyone mentions its lore being inconsistent fdshfdds So that is already weird but it'd be like 6th time I've got random vivid dreams about videogames I am not familiar with

I recall the place was this weird hammer space that was roughly known as 'Super Hell for psychics, seers, schizos and the ascended' (and felt the part often enough) although the fire pits were in fact barely present at all? Mostly it were a lot of parallel versions of the same place coinciding, a bit like a building where every floor was the "same" but not really and with different events from roughly the same people? Eternal night and a lot of broken glass and mirrors imagery too.

The first comprehensive thing I remember happening was being talked to by a ghost of some woman that "has been here since she was yet young" (like Asriel age situation?) who insisted I promised to her that I'd go to a specific place at the time she directs me to, that seemed to be for the safety of myself and everyone else? The thing is, somehow she was spiritually bound to the guy himself and could only suppress him at certain hours but couldn't literally control him?

I recall that I didn't listen to her and had to hide in one of the layers of reality in shame and fear for breaking the promise, though in my defence Afton deceived me into not going anyway? However, this is where this gets TMI because like... he didn't have the body anymore but wanted the new one, so what he did? RIGHT, apparently impregnated me so the born infant could be used by him as the new body and he'd just grow up like this 🙄 The thing is, I have NO idea whatsoever how did that even happen without a body, was someone else used as middle man? I think I recall something about the corpses or whatever? But also I feel like I don't want to know because even in a dream, my brain crossed out the whole process from my memory and I was only lucid again after it happened. I just had undeniable proof that it did (won't get into details)

After that I was feeling constantly lost, scared and confused, almost shivering, but it wasn't all there is. I've started to experience VERY severe disassociation and depersonalisation where my body insistently kept feeling like something else (middle-aged, biologically male, not kept very well, a bit on chubby side) to the point I kept touching myself just to ground myself back into reality and get a proof that I didn't have a dick and was still short and frail young person. Maybe I'd not mind feeling this in any other context since I am one hell of a dysphoric little guy but it was the dissonance. It got worse because I've started feeling his feelings, wishes and thoughts like my own and had to struggle to block them away to not go insane. I vividly remember him feeling happy and wanting to rest whereas I kept waking "us" up with surges of visceral fear and struggle to not lose my sense of self. (Tbh experience familiar to me in reality too because of mental health stuff, there are cases of having to wrestle the "ghosts" for control irl too and I just feel like my sanity is a variant of an HP bar that keeps being chipped away until someone holds my hand. Living with mom still helps.)

So I woke up and first thing also told all this to my friend Val being like "look I don't care how bad my life gets I am NOT playing games that everyone in DR fandom bashes as an example of broken lore, but can you read all this and rate how much sense it makes?" and he was like "omg NO way you've met Cassidy!", then "it is VERY authentic, actually". I then asked him to tell me everything there is about Afton to see for myself and when he wrote stuff in chronological order I was like "wait, so THIS is the notorious 'inconsistent FNAF lore' everyone dreads?? this is pretty easy to follow?!?" and he was like "yeah no shit Kat, I've had to put it together with bubblegum and bandaids from absolute mess when almost entirety of it was added via retcons, had you been there in the real time mode when games were releasing you'd go mad" gfgfddfg

Anyway, this is all very interesting? Like, unironically? I could never approach too close anyways because both I've heard creator donates to organisations that seek to nuke people like me and the fandom itself would put our needle cookie traditions to shame with their levels of insane situations. I'd only care behind five closets lol. But this is all VERY interesting stuff

Some of the games I loved when I was a little kid I started to miss

I kinda want to replay them now to see if they did hold up of my fond memories are just nostalgia haze fdsfds Not the only games I liked playing when I was a kid, but the ones I started to suddenly miss recently

Beyond Good and Evil I recall was genuinely incredible mesh of very different gameplay mechanics. Like, genuinely fun to play. One of the most important features was seeking various creatures to snap a shot of and I just can't explain how much fun it was! Just talk about the best way to encourage the players to explore the world! Stealth, action, fighting and even racing were also crucial. Worldbuilding and visual style were also awesome ;-; There were those fucked up aliens kidnapping citizens of the planet and a military corporation pretending to protect against them but often very conveniently being "too late"... and then it turns out they were working with the aliens all along lol.

As for Sudeki, it was apparently the first RPG I played? I was more interested in grinding its various side quests and seeking nooks and keys to secret areas than playing the ACTUAL story and overall I was very satisfied with its rewards for players with "nothing better to do" xD I also had huge grievance with how much it insisted on playing as Tal (red haired guy) most of the time because I was a picky kid getting frustrated when I couldn't play as Ailish (blue haired gal) or her shadow twin fsdfdsd. But its worldbuilding was centered around the once united world being split into prospering light world, neglected darkness world and nexus shadow world and four main characters connected with four main deities spiritually being set up to unite the worlds again. I can say it might have influenced my tastes in stories from the get go in the long run xd

X-Blades (and its first variant, Oniblade) is actually just a generic pretty anime visuals slasher to relax to... So, gameplay was absolutely NOT why I loved this game. What I loved about it is that it was remotely easy to hack in all the right places once you've figured out specifics of the code, so after some fiddling I found out how to always go out of bounds in it, both horizontally and vertically, without falling through the map! It made the game's maps like x2 times bigger and my interest was checking all these normally inaccessible places and taking unique screenshots. Even found how to replace the playable character with the guy but his model didn't function properly as it wasn't coded with player in mind and could only run a bit...

ZanZarah is basically just Pokemon but with fairies, and it is just as fun as it sounds! I had a sad childhood without Nintendo (much like about 90% of the kids in my country because Nintendo never picked up here due to absurd prices for our economy lol) so it was the closest I got to experiencing collecting and evolving creatures. I fucking LOVED exploring new areas and restarting the same fight prompt for like 60th time to encounter a rare fairy to catch, always was frustrated with how few fairies there were though (about 70). Though fun fact: as recently as 2021, a group of devs made a mod that adds MANY new fairies, quests, items and NPCs in really authentic fashion? Maybe I'll end up just checking that one out

The way Normal Route (Side A) is colored pink and Weird Route (Side B) is colored yellow/golden makes way too much sense and I love to see it:

Noelle is color-coded golden as we can see from her UI and her sprites during both of her backstory visuals. She is key figure in the WR

Susie is color-coded pink and she is, obviously, key figure in NR. It's leader, even!

The cats, who have one pink and one golden eye, would serve both Gaster (NR) and Eram (WR). Gaster and Eram are effectively enemies and cats are described as "fickle" in their loyalty, two-colored eyes reflect how they can do whatever works for them at the moment!

Chapter 5 is known for "Field of Pink and Gold" and it is THE Chapter where whether you were playing NR or WR comes to true results!

Interestingly, gold is color of Determination, the power to resist Death. With Noelle, it is simple; developing the power like Kris' red SOUL, she is able to resist the death by drowning! If interrupted, the timeline resets and self-corrects but she is able to realise it is happening, which is the power to SAVE and load Determination gives. If done normally, not only she can still talk under water, but also past some point her hair stops floating:

Susie is different and it is the power not previously seen in UTDR; whereas Determination is defying your own death, pink power is the power to defy the death of OTHERS! Susie returned Tenna from the death, it is possible that her attempt to save Flowery was successful and the part of the Prophesy she smashed with the intent to defy was clearly something tragic. She even makes Noelle no longer want to die... This might be the pattern that truly plays out later! Notice color-coding here too: Human SOULs where Determination resides are full rainbow spectrum but pink is the color not in the rainbow spectrum!

Regular Deltarune fan's lore: Although characters in Deltarune are not just imagining things, Deltarune is, ineherently, an allegorical story. It is about nostalgia, escapism and dreams. It sends rather positive message about how engagement in stories, hobbies and imagination can improve your life, help you to process tre trauma, become a better person and grow closer bonds with others. It is a bittersweet story about how whereas everything must eventually end, what good you carry out of it while it lasted is defined by YOU and will stay with you forever to help you to shape new dreams!

Lore of Deltarune fans who are also Soulsborne fans: LONG AGO the Light and the Dark Worlds were united into ONE realm but then Gaster usurped the Deltarune's realm as its new God and divided the worlds! He put his creation Ralsei, "a Prince from the Dark", up for the task to lead the heroes to fulfilling the fate he has written! But the 'Angel' from 'our' world, the Player, he wished to shepherd as the key component for his plan, has to work with Kris who has their own will and desires, whereas Kris also works with Dess, the Knight that elected to carry out the plan to resist Gaster by all means that even burdens Kris themselves! Meanwhile, the ORIGINAL King of the Dark that Gaster shunned, Eram, pretends to be a sympathetic figure that has only righteous and noble interest in restoring what was ruined but is in fact up to no good! Deltarune is about fixing Gaster's crimes and returning the universe to its true state! Also Darkners will become no different than Monsters but with Dark instead of Magic. By the way, Carol also used to be the Knight before in the previous cycle.

I've realised that I am currently a proud caretaker of not one, not two, but FOUR Noelles from abandoned AUs! And whereas two of them I just helped working on and one I've simply found the ruins of, the one this Noelle is from was ALL mine!

I felt the urge to redraw her, but with the touches of the newer Chapters lore too! The 'clergy Noelle' came in tangent with paladin-like Dark World Catti that I should also bring back some time!

Disappointed, bunch of cats is way less interesting than what the fandom made

I compromise popular fanon with the new lore, there are ways (like hivemind?)
