Yo, I'm Corazón Calaveras and this is my OC blog where I post art of my original characters.

The Council of Phantoms is a place where all of my ocs reside and lurk within it's shadows, a safe haven for me where I can create and share art for the world I've created from the dark depths of my mind. This blog is also where I archive my art as well as show the progress I've made over the years and how much I've improved since my very first post.

"Will you still love me if I was a zombie?" (Lowkey sounds like an anime title. XD)

This started off as a side profile practice but then I got the cute idea to draw these two love birds since I haven't drawn art of them together in a while.

I should really draw side profiles more often, I need more practice...I need more practice in general really.

Cameron is a writer, and one of the reasons that makes his works so intriguing and captivating is the fact that he goes out to explore many locations for inspiration, blending real life with fiction to create compelling stories.

Two years after the murder of his dear friend, Cameron would set out to explore an abandoned building, but not for inspiration. This time it's in search of the truth of what happened to her. After hearing that the case went cold, Cameron took it upon himself to investigate her murder and hopefully bring justice. Unfortunately for him, he would stumble upon a group of delinquent young adults who would give him trouble. But they're not the main threat, not in the slightest.

The bigger threat seems to be after something, and it just might be of Cameron's interest. Although it could cost him his life.

Max made the mistake of telling a sleep deprived Jeffrey to smile but he just wants to go home and sleep. They get along really well, I promise. 😭✋

It's been a while since I last drew the twins interacting with each other. I should do it more often to further show their relationship.

Finally after YEARS of not creating an official design for this oc I finally got around to it and I am pleased with how he turned out. Previously his name was Jake but I changed it to Dylan Graves because I liked it more I guess.

🩶 His natural eye color is grey but occasionally likes to wear crimson eye colored contacts cuz it looks great with his violet hair.

Just a little traditional art from my sketchbook. I've mentioned it before but all my digital drawings start traditionally cuz I cannot draw sketches on a screen for the life of me. I'm too used to paper that sketching on a screen feels weird to me.

I failed to make a birthday post for Cameron and I so I'm posting it now. Better late than never I suppose. Happy belated birthday to us. 🥳🎂🎉🎊

My sona canonically likes to read along with Cameron and he tends to show her his poems for some feedback before sharing them with anyone. Corazón isn't the best at giving good feedback so her feedback mainly consists of "Ayo that hits deep" or "That's so beautiful" etc. Cameron is aware of the fact but he mainly enjoys the company of this strange little marshmallow looking thing.

Oh, and he doesn't know that I'm his creator... yet.

From enemies to besties...kinda. Max didn't appreciate Lauren carving a permanent smile on her face during one of their first fights. Lauren on the other hand thinks it suits her well.

Someone made the mistake of letting their guard down around Alister. Now the world around them turns blurry until eventually darkness becomes the only thing they see.

Design update for Jeffrey: He now has dark circles under his eyes due to lack of sleep. (I mean it makes sense, bro is a forensic science student by day and serial killer by night. Bro gets VERY LITTLE sleep. 😭✋

Anywho, here's my boi Jeff, aka The Phantom and I love him very much. I also finally got around to updating my watermark so from now on I will be using it to sign my works instead of writing my handle every single time.

(The watermark is my mascot btw. I still haven't given him/her an official name yet but I'll think of something sooner or later.)

It's been a while since I last drew Jeffrey and used my Ohuhu markers so I decided to change that. I've also made a digital version which I will be posting later today.

I probably should have used a darker grey for the mask but besides that I'm happy with how he turned out.

2025 Recap

Another year, more artwork made! Admittedly this year has been very bleak for me but that still hasn't stopped me from making art throughout the year. It wasn't all bad though, I finally began to work in the vet field after graduating and completing my externship. So not everything was bad on my end.

The amount of improvement I've achieved throughout this year amazes me. Compared to one of the first artworks I've made in the beginning to the last of the year just feels so good to see. Here's to the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026! 🎃🎊

My final artwork of the year. I'd say it's a really good piece to end the year with since I did spend quite a bit of time on it, but I enjoyed every single second.

Lauren perfectly represents my mental state throughout this entire year ngl. 😅

It's still been an okay year though. I can't wait to continue to make more art in 2026 and hopefully my skills will improve more.

Don't be fooled by the pretty pastel colors. Nina has an insatiable hunger for human flesh and it looks like she had already taken a bite.

Nina is no longer just a seasonal oc of mine. She has a part in my Asylum Universe and becomes an unexpected mentor to a zombified Max.

If you ever get a small glimpse of Nina licking her lips no matter how brief, just know that she's craving whoever she's looking at....And not in a fun way.
