I’m bringing back an edit I made last year that got killed by YT for sexiness. I edited out one scene and trying again. this is the PERFECT song for the character of Ray, someone who’s clearly drowning his pain in self-destruction. The best thing about ONLY FRIENDS season 1 was how the characters demonstrated real problems like add*tion and impulses and it nearly crushes the good things in their lives. 

If you haven’t seen the show, this isn’t the end! Ray gets actual help in the form of rehab! YAY! But before then, we really have to see the dark night of the soul

I have NEVER seen a bl as color coded as The Heart Killers--forget bland engineering students in white shirts in white classrooms, everything in JoJo's world pulses with color! From the golden bowling alley to the red hotel room, from the red burger joint to the blue alley, from the green tattoo parlor to the green aurora projections, to the kaleidoscope of Kant/Bison characters' costumes--this is a neon noir retro romance and I love it! So here I'm experimenting with longer clips and extreme color grading--normally I try to create unity across all my clips, but here, i literally made every clip a monochrome color. Let me know what you think!

Ray + Raye Escapism! A mostly Ray edit for #onlyfriends I knew I had to combine this character and song since episode 2 but it's taken me a few months and my editing skills leveled up!

Editing things I learned making this FMV--artificial camera shake is addictive, how to actually use LUTs (finally!) and that the same dialogue line in a different video and a different song equals a very different meaning!

Yes I'm a mess for this series... Episodes 6-9 of Only Friends were the most chaotic dominos of revenge and self-sabotage I've ever seen in a BL! Mew going full Reputations Era, Ray wanting to believe that being the rebound was enough, First, Boston, Nick and Top having to live with their contribution to this radioactive fallout. It's so great to have a show where the characters are actually messy. Like ridiculously and relatably messy! And no-one does mid twenties mess like #ajr But we still have three more episodes to fix this or blow it up completely...
