personal piece for august, and a revisit of a picture i drew 15 years ago~

i’ve decided to adopt this kid as an OC. name’s 서은성 Seo Eunseong (Eunsung for those who prefer american transcription), he lives in one of the traditional houses at Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul where his family runs a small store with traditional accessories (his grandma teaches him to make norigae) and studies/hangs out at Hongdae. i’ve always wanted to have an OC based in real life places that i’m very familiar with, so why not try it with this guy~ also, he probably doesn’t normally dress like this :’)

fun fact: motorcycle clubs in the U.S. were founded and run largely by gay men who missed the homosocial camaraderie of being in the U.S. military during WWII. the lifestyle and aesthetics of those motorcycle clubs gave rise to many of the stereotypical/classic gay “looks” (leather, chaps, etc) and indeed to the gay leather scene itself (both the gay male leather/biker scene and the lesbian/dykes on bikes leather/biker scene)
